Chapter 9: Training

" All of you are now Tamers but this is just the beginning, you must work hard to become stronger to be of more help to the Crown Prince," said Nicholas.

" No need to be so serious now Nicholas " Crown Prince walked beside Nicholas, the old butler then took a step back to give way to the Crown Prince.

" First of all j would like to congratulate you all, I am happy that all of you succeeded, now that you're all official tamers we can now proceed with our plans and also give out missions for all of you to accomplish, and speaking of mission I will now give you guys your first mission as Tamers "

When Gael and the rest heard the Crown Prince talk about missions their expressions turned serious, waiting for the mission that the Prince will give them.

The Crown Prince smiled seeing their serious expressions.

" Your first mission is to train for three months and return here "

When they heard the 'mission' given to them, they get confused, that's it? that's the mission? they thought.

" No need to think too much, this mission is important since all of you must familiarise yourselves with your newfound strength, you can't just waltz around the world of Tamers without ample preparation, actually a few months of training is not enough, normally new Tamers must train with their familiars for at least a year but since we're short on time and manpower three months is the most time we can give you " explained the Crown Prince.

' it makes sense, fighting along with other soldiers and warriors is easy since we follow a single command and are trained to work together, and great teamwork is developed through long periods of fighting together and trusting each other back since monsters are different from humans it is quite a challenge to work with them even though they are their familiars' Gael thought to himself as he nodded towards the Crown Prince's words. The rest also have the same thought as Gael since all of them work in the military and fought on many battlefields together.

" You can start your training whenever you want, but I advise you guys to stay near the capital since there are a lot of places here where you can train " the Crown Prince added.

The Crown Prince and Marcus give some more tips and advice before they are dismissed.

Gael quickly ran towards his room along with his new familiar, the small Goblins follows behind him with their small legs. He took his stuff and everything they might need for their training, the Crown Prince also gave them a small pouch of gold coins that they can use for their training.

Gael plans to go to one of the forests nearby the capital, it is called Willow Forest it is not a normal forest where normal hunters can roam, it is a dangerous forest filled with low-rank monsters, most monsters in the Willow Forest are E and D rank but it is still relatively dangerous for the common folk that is why the kingdom imposed a ban of entry to the forest to avoid casualties there are also guards stationed at the entrance of the forest to make sure no one can enter the forest.

Though the Willow Forest is dangerous for normal people the current Gael is now a Tamer with ample of fighting experience so the forest poses no harm to him but he still chose this forest to train in not for himself but his young and small familiar, though it has a higher rank than the monsters inside the forest, it is still young and lacks experience and training making the Willow Forest a perfect training ground for the small green creature.

Gael rode his horse along with the young Goblin and they travelled towards the East gate of the capital they are both wearing a hooded cloak to conceal their appearance as per the Crown Prince's instructions, to avoid alarming the citizens and exposing their identity to the nobles.

Although there are millions of people living in the capital only those from nobles and wealthy families know the existence of Tamers. The Royals and the Nobles are keeping the information about Tamers from the masses to maintain a tight grip on their power and authority and protect their status as nobles and Royalty because once the existence of Tamers became known to the public the enemies that the nobles and Royals made might form their rebel forces with tamers amongst them.

The hooded figure of Gael and the small Goblin arrived at the entrance of the Willow forest, they are stopped by the guards stationed there, Gael took out a scroll from his bag and showed it to one of the guards.

The guards took the scroll, when the guard saw the Crown Prince's seal he nodded towards the other guards and they make way for Gael. He entered the forest riding his horse, once they are past the guard's vision he took off his hood and the young Goblin did as well.

In a military camp inside the capital.

" I am here today to introduce a new Vice General that will be appointed here, please welcome Vice General Balmor " the Crown Prince introduced Vice General Balmor in front of thousands of silver armored soldiers lined up perfectly. They are the capital's mighty Silver Dragon Corps they represent the military might of the Royals.

Standing beside the Crown Prince the newly appointed Vice General of the Silver Dragon Corps took a step forward and a green-coloured muscular creature as tall as a normal fifteen-year-old kid followed the vice general, it has protruding tusks and rough facial features, it is Vice General Balmor's familiar the Orc, for the soldiers to see their new vice general, the soldiers of the Silver Dragon Corps are not surprised that the new vice general is a Tamer since one of the requirement to be a vice general and a general is to be a Tamer.

After the quick ceremony the Crown Prince, Marcus, Vice General Balmor, the General of the Silver Dragon Corps, and other important figures are gathered inside a conference room in the military camp.

In a desolate valley, a lone figure stood tall beside him is a black-furred puppy with burning paws, the person standing on a small stone hill has fiery red hair, wearing crimson-coloured light steel armor, he is none other than Amon. He decided to train in this valley called God's Blood Valley it is called God's Blood Valley because the soil in this valley is blood-coloured as if it was dyed by blood. it is also closer to his family's territory, he is the next head of the House of Vega so he still has responsibilities to adhere to, the God's Blood Valley is also the most dangerous and monster-infested part of their territory, making it a perfect training ground for him and his Hellhound.

" Let's go " Amon grinned then he jumped down from where he was standing, the black puppy followed him and jumped down as well.

Wency Walker is standing on the training ground and sparring against someone, after a few exchanges Wency's opponent fell panting.

" I give up young master, you've become stronger again," said the person sitting on the ground, the person sparring with Wency seems to be one of their guards.

" Thank you for your hard work " Wency walked towards the man sitting on the ground and he reached out his hand and help the guard stand up.

Wency then approached a table and picked up a glass of water, he drank the whole glass, and a maid hand him a clean white towel to wipe his sweat.

Wency decided to train in their family estate, increasing his strength and fighting against others is his main goal since he specialises in one on one fights.

While his familiar the Gale Wolf pup is munching raw meat near the training ground.

Lily with her young Wind Sprite is training inside a forest nearby the capital since the territory of her family is near the capital as well so she chose one of the nearby forests, it is not the Willow forest where Gael is training but a more dangerous one, the Dark Woods Forest, it is also filled with monsters and entry is also restricted but with the special entry pass given by the Crown Prince, she can enter and exit the forest just like Gael.

The Oswald twins Kali and Kalisto with their snake familiar coiled around their necks like it is pieces of accessories are about to enter an unnamed forest, it is near the borders of the kingdom this forest is extremely dangerous because they have to be cautious of monsters and enemy soldiers at the same time.

In an old wooden shack Melchor Malkin with the small Red Falcon perched on his shoulder is talking with an old man full of white hair, the old man appeared to be in his seventies but his eyes are filled with life and his body is still vigorous like he's still in his prime.
