The foe in front of him is using some sort of armor. Elite armor that is usually worn by higher ranks in the region's military officers. But the thing that Niva is eyeing, is the medium sized club like weapon.
Its edges are embedded with several tiny blades that are made up from obsidian stone. It not only slices the victim but also easily rips the skin and exposes the victim to a serious infection. The name of the nasty weapon is Ripparsa, a signature weapon of the region's military officers there.
Lynel's gaze is locked towards the larger Foxtren. Trying his best to anticipate the attack that is going to come.
"Have you wished for anything, Lynel?" shouts Niva from the side.
"What wish?" Lynel tries to remember what Niva is talking about, "Ah that, I straight slicing him up. Can't stand the many words that he is talking about. Really messes up my brain."
"O-okay," replies Niva. He is somewhat expecting Lynel to be in this scenario. Unexpectedly, he is glad that Lynel was able to overcome the test.
Lynel quickly darts back and forth in the air using his [Footwork] skill, dodging every incoming attack from the voidling. He then leaps after the voidling attack barrage and lands behind it.
"[X-slash]!" shouts Lynel. A shining X cut is embedded in the voidling's back.
It is supposed to be a clean hit. but the voidling laughs as if nothing happens. It then swings the Ripparsa behind. Fortunately Lynel leaps back to his previous position as he continues to assess what's wrong.
"Hey, did you guys already beat this black thing?" shouts Lynel to the two.
"Yeah, we have," answers Niva without giving any hints.
The voidling then shifts its gaze towards the visitors. Preparing its stance. Ignoring Lynel that is nearer to it.
It then charges towards Niva like a bull. Niva calms himself, preparing his stance and chanting a hymn. [Swift Hymn]. Niva then steps away from Lula. Still maintaining the hymn for [Agility] buffs. One clean hit from that Ripparsa will afflict a condition on Niva.
"Watch out!" yells Lula throwing a yellowish concoction towards the voidling. It then dodges away. Followed by Shervo's tail [Flail] after it lands. The unsuspecting voidling thrown on its knee. The [Agility] buffs make it easier for Niva's party to land a hit.
"What? How did you all manage to hurt it? That guy doesn't even try to dodge my attacks," complains Lynel on the sideline.
"Don't you understand Lynel? Voidling can only be hurt by a companion and a compfreund. You won't be able to attack it unless you form a pact in compfreund-making," yells Niva as he temporarily cut his chant to answer his friend.
The compfreund-making process is the answer to the Scorching Darkness Era. Where civilians are drafted to the newly formed Abyss Devourer Units to counter the near-invincible creature of the void. But frankly, the first compfreund that is made has its traced back before the era even started.
"Dammit! What should I do now?" yells Lynel. He sounds utterly useless.
"Let us handle the fight. You have done enough." Lula answers with the right sentence. Her replying means that Lynel's ego can be contained easily. Imagine if Niva, three levels below him, lectures the level 5 foxtren.
"Fine."
The black Songharan Warrior quickly gets up. Niva, Lula, and Shervo are surrounding the voidling. With Shervo guarding Niva and Lula standing alone on the other side while holding a yellow colored concoction.
It readies to strike but its Ripparsa falls to the wooden floor all of a sudden.
"What have you done to me?" asks the voidling with a deep hollow voice. "Don't you know I am trying to re-educate my child Lynel about courtesy?"
Its body suddenly trembles. The yellow concoction from Lula's first throw might be taking effect on the voidling. She sure knows how to smartly craft her concoction to not attack indiscriminately.
Lynel suddenly shouts. "Father! Don't you talk to me about courtesy. Especially when Rino Treminea asked about the tax for the kingdom. We are among the regions that pay the highest tax. Instead of protecting our dignity, you chose to kneeled and kiss his smelly foot?!"
'Father? Lord Tynel Wisteria?'
"You know nothing about governing, son. Merbabel will be razed to the grounds if we do not comply. Don't you care about your fellow Songharan?" urges Tynel as he tries to calm his son.
Lynel is gritting his teeth in anger. "Yeah, I care to not stand here idly while they were leeching our resources. Hours of training for men, boys, girls, and women for what?! To make us happy while still in shape?! They should know the terror that The Foxtren is capable of with all those training."
"Foxtren, what about the human minority? They are Songharan just like all of us."
"They are NEVER one of us. Rolto Treminea did a transmigration program long ago to keep Foxtren like us in check." Lynel snaps, pointing his finger at his voidlings-shaped father.
"Oh Shut up! You are merely a child!" snaps Tynel. Preparing his stance while in a trembling body unarmed.
Niva cannot believe what he actually heard. This is the other side of Lynel that he tried to conceal when he was talking to Yerni, the [Soulreader]. A Songharan nationalist who have an ideology to separate from the Voltingen Kingdom.
This is actually a new thing that Niva knows. If this is true, they are no different from Gewjory who outright declares war with the non-human.
House Treminea, a well-known house that is currently running the whole of Voltingen in Diraculius, The capital of the Voltingen Kingdom. He had no idea that the family was an overall Sleazebag. But somewhat almost not surprising, the family had their influence in the Underworld.
The voidling unleashes something that is hanging from its 'armor'. A three balls that have the same pitch black color like the others. It then throws them straight to the wooden floor. Unleashing pitch black powder that covers the voidling's presence.
The mysterious powder flies in the air. Makes it hard for someone unfamiliar to conceal their presence. It makes the nose itchy and sneeze non stop.
