THE TRUCE

Alah's eyes were burning with revenge and anger. It had already turned red as the mirror starts to shake almost bursting into pieces. Andy still in her tight grip, due to the weakness of fighting harder, he dropped the sword down slowly looking up dazedly. Still engrossed in his own predicament on how to save Andy, the sound of the sword hitting the already swollen floor brought Alex back giving his mind a clear idea. He quietly moved to where the sword was clinging it tightly in his palms. He rosed adjusting his position timing on where to attack her but his plans were ruined when he saw Mr Tan waking up after being put in sleep. He squeezed his paining shoulder his eyes scanning the whole room but when he saw Andy's state, he quickly run to where he was and jumped on Aladin before she could finish him as they fall down together. She quickly picked herself from the floor then swayed like wind her unmoving gaze piercing back at the old man as if sending some warnings to him. Mr Tan too didn't waste any time to move away ready in any attacks as Andy's body hits the floor hardly leaving him with a faint cough. Alex quickly dropped the sword running to where he was lying as Lyn barges in surprising him.

' Wa°ter° de• siauo? Wa°ter° wa• de agremande? Alah shouted in Vonnol furiously gazing at him.'

'Agremande? Wa°ter° de siauo especter•? Siauo brek°° ye.'

'Wa°ter°? I warned you about the truce. Why are you barking down on me? I trusted you on our agreement.' she shouted forgetting that Alex was there listening everything.

' What!!! Mr Tan? What agreement is she talking about?

' Am sorry. You won't understand. I'll handle this by myself.'

'No, l can't accept it. Tell me exactly the kind of truce you made. Why do this? Why? He cried moving closer.' For what benefit? To finish us all?

' Boy, No. I want you to calm down and relax. I'll explain everything, right from the start till.......

' No. All along you've been playing with our minds with lies despite you knowing everything. Despite the story you've been telling us and we entrusted you with all our hearts to lead us right from the start and with all the struggles we've been through. But, all along was just a pretend. Why? We've lost our loved ones, my sister who dreamed being a great writer among all authoress and, and... And Lucas, the guy with a good heart and a fighter. He died as a warrior despite being sick along with the other guys. How do you think they would feel if they here about the truce your talking about whick Ofcourse none of us knew about it apart from you and the witch? He fired his anger taking over him.

' Heey! Please listen to me for once. Actually it wasn't a serious truce. It wasn't that permanent.' he tried to explain but all that was unendless effort he was making.

' But the fact still remains, YOU agreed with it. Not even having a second thought. Lyn rosed this time not fearing anyone.

'Fine, l agree l made a mistake. But can you artilist give me your ears. To know why exactly l did this. I thought maybe it was the right thing to do, just to...to, maybe to save you guys with the rest.

' You're a lier. All you wanted was to use us and gain something. I knew that right from the start. But l never that you would work with this murderer. A thing which doesn't have a heart.' Andy pipped in too as the old man stares at him pleadingly.'

' Won't you too believe me kid, mmhhh! I need just five minutes to explain myself. Please, l know l did wrong not telling you right from the start but....but l was afraid, you won't believe me nor what I'll be disclosing to you. If it were you, being in the same shoes as mine, am telling you this for free. You'll have done the same thing, not giving it a second thought like she just said.'

' Huh! Well, well, well. Ghoosh! Am ashamed to even look in your eyes. Am wondering why am still talking to you.' Alex muttered moving away from them only to find Alah holding the sword.

' Hey! Leave that... You can't....'

' Haaahhhhhh! Haaahhhhhh! I got it. The sword to raise my people. Haahhh! I tricked you guys, and you fell for it. So, who's the winner here. Mmmhhh! Bunch I losers. See you, idiots, and thank you for the sword. Now all I'll need is to wait for the Black moon to arise. The moon of the darkness that associates with the great night makers El' Shar, and I'll be your god. SOON.' she spurted then vanished in air with the mirror leaving them with no option.

Alex dragged himself on the floor, hoping that somehow a miracle would happen as Lyn moves closer to where he was sitting quietly.

' She has worned, are you happy now? Andy angrily asked the old man who didn't even move.

' Speak. Since we don't have anyone to trust now and you took our trust l guess, it's your turn to help us. To find a way on how we can finish that woman before the Black moon arises.'

' Leave him buddy. The old man cannot help us now. She has captured his mind and he's just here Ofcourse wanting something from us. We better find a way on our own now. We can't keep on relying on a traitor. Who doesn't care about others and their feelings apart for themselves.'

' Am not a traitor Alex. I won't force you guys to believe me nor neither do l want your trust. But believe me or not, l did it for your sake. If unless you could let me explain something to you guys, l guess that will help you judge me.

' Ahhhh! Again. Anyway, culprits are too given time to explain themselves, so l grant you you're request. You may say what's that important thing you've been crying all along to say. I think ten minutes are enough for you and the remaining minutes to disappear in our face. I got nothing more to add. '

' Thanks. And l promise, l won't bother you again, no matter what. And hope all of you can forgive me for all the pains have caused you. Please find a place in your hearts to forgive me. If it comes to my death, l want to die in peace and leave anyone l cared about with peace in their hearts.

' Continue blabbering as the time kicks. Remaining time is 8 minutes.'

' Am sorry if have pained your hearts. It was before you came to my house that night when she attacked me. First l thought that l was dreaming but when she slammed me on the wall and forced me to do as she says, l had to agree with it despite me knowing the outcomes. She had already warned me about you coming here asking for my help and when you came in, l forced myself to chase you away but due to the pleadings and helpless expressions you all gave me, l decided to help.......

' That's not what we want to hear old man. We want to know the kind of truce you agreed on with that witch. Am eager to hear what it is? Andy cut making the old man to laugh a little.

' What! Did l cracked a joke and haven't noticed? Am l missing one of my incisors? Come on guys, tell me, did that witch take my incisors unbeknownst to me?

' Haaahhhh! Kid, Despite me being the bad guy here, you still make me laugh even at my last breathe, l swear I'll not forget you even if l die today.'

' Okay! She came and told me that since am the last person in line who can only speak Vonnol, l should make sure that I'll help her to accomplished her mission using my blood to wake her husband and she'll bring back my son. She even showed me his body where it was lying but all that were just her illusions to make me fall into her traps. She used my son against my will and made me believe that she can bring back the dead. Yeah! I confess that l was greed and happy that I'll meet my son one last time but when l saw how determined you were, how that young man's throat was slaughtered, l gave up and decided to pass the next person in line knowing that no matter what, my son will never come back except his soul will keep on haunting me even if am dead. I used my blood to wake Alex's soul and be the protector of the land the night before her attack and all l lied among everything l had told you was that those who speak Vonnol can die. So instead of waking her husband, l blessed him and curse her husband but all that was temporarily. That's why she didn't want to hurt me cause am still of help to her.

' So, you mean Alex will never die, even if she tries killing him?
