Yes, I did stay awake all night even though there is a timer for the

apocalypse, I can't take any chances.

I sat down on the chair with a hoodie, Tracksuit and leather boots. With my gun on my waistband.

Me: You up.

John: Yep and I've got them weapons you want to play with. I've got machetes, baseball bats, I've even got a helmet.

Me: A helmet?

John: Yeah bro, a medieval Templar helmet.

Me: Well do me a favour and put that on and lock your doors.

John: you're still on about that Apocalypse, well at least I'll get free lunch.

My mom and sister came downstairs.

My mom seeing me was slightly surprised since I always woke up late.

" Adrian why are you up so early" She asked curiously as she stretched whilst looking at my expression trying to find a reaction from me.

"I feel like something's wrong" I said plainly without showing any reaction to my mom's stretching.

She wore a green side slit long-sleeve top and pants. To impress me ever since I told her to wear something that covers her more, she's been wearing more modest clothes, well most of the time, unlike last night when she tried to seduce me.

" What do you mean" she asked but the expression on her face showed she was angry that I wasn't paying attention to her but she tried to hide it.

" I heard loud growling from outside" I stated whilst looking at the door.

My mom looked like she wasn't taking my words seriously.

My sister just looked at me like she always did with unhidden disdain.

But it didn't matter. They will believe, whether they want to or not.

Standing up and putting my hand on the gun on my waistband, I was ready to fire.

" Huh, what are you doing Adrian are you alright" My mom was both surprised and weirded out by my actions.

My sister just stared curiously.

Screens appeared in front of all 3 us.

" What's happening??" My mom was surprised and terrified at what was going on.

My sister was also surprised as she stared the text but then a change happened as another text appeared in front of them.

"A+ fire potential" She said as I noticed a slight change in her as her already beautiful face became even more symmetrical and seductive as her eyes turned from brown to red.

A jet-black katana appeared in my sister's hand as she got into a stance.

"Adrian!" My mother ran straight towards me as she wrapped her arms around me as she began to cry in terror.

" Hic…Hic Adrian what's going on, what are these monsters, I don't want to die"

I said nothing as I wrapped an arm around her and pulled out my gun.

A zombie finally got through and walked towards us.

Taking aim I fired at it.

It took 2 bullets to Peirce through it's skull.

Another one came from behind but Rose took care of it as she swung her sword decapitating it.

" We need to get into the car" I said, my sister nodded but my mother continued to cry in fear.

I picked her up in a princess carry as we ran towards the back door.

Rose ran in front of me as she decapitated multiple zombies that were in our path.

As we got into the jeep my sister got into the driving seat, started the car and drove off.

My sister in the driving seat seemed to be angry and confused "What the hell is going on" she said out loud angrily.

" A zombie apocalypse duh" I said as I looked at her through the rearview mirror.

" I know that but how" She asked with a frustrated expression.

' It seems my sister is also scared and confused, this is the most emotion I've ever seen from her '

" Head to John's house" I said to my sister.

"No we need to head somewhere safe" my sister said as she rejected my request.

" He's got weapons" getting frustrated i said trying to convince her.

"No, he's also probably surrounded by zombies" She said shaking her head slightly.

"Mom"

Mom looked up at me with tears still streaming down her face as she turned to Rose " Listen to your brother, you can't leave his friend"

"Fine" She said with a bit of anger.

" How far is it?" She asked.

"Just 3 blocks"

Driving through the streets of Texas, Austin. I looked through the window as I saw slow-moving zombies with immense strength kill people, killing people as they begged for mercy. They were immensely strong but their slow speed was their weakness.

" Someone we need help" A mature voice called out in anguish.

" Stop the car" I ran out the car as I headed towards the voice.

mother not wanting to be away from me followed me, Rose seeing her mother running off, also followed me with gritted teeth.

A man was fighting against a zombie, swinging a baseball bat at its head but he underestimated it, getting too close. As it swung its arm piercing straight threw his body and then taking a bite out of his neck, a few seconds later he also turned into a zombie.

As we arrived it was already over as the guy got turned.

Me and Rose killed them both.

" tch we are late" I said with furrowed brows.

"Yeah" Rose said plainly.

Mom being scared by the gruesome sight, held my hand.

We heard a noise at the side of the car, as all 3 of us turned to look at that direction.

Slowly moving towards the car, I signalled my Rose to go the other way around as we both went different directions around the car.

As I made it around I pointed my gun forward. As I shouted.

"Hands up!"

"Ahh please don't shoot" What I saw was a Mexican woman with a little boy, if I had to guess, her son in her arms as she shouted in terror with tears going down her eyes in anguish.

" Stand up" I ordered as she stood up with her hands raised, trembling as the boy hugged her.

Rose also pointed her sword at them whilst Mom just stood behind me.

As we were walking back Rose came up to me "Why are you bringing two burdens" She with disdain.

" They could help us out" I said as I kept looking forward.

"Help us out? How?" She scoffed as she asked.

" I don't know cleaning, cooking. Whatever needs doing to be honest" I said to her as I looked at her with a small smile.

" So you just want servents" She looked at me with disgust.

"What the problem even if I did, I'm giving them protection in exchange" I said with a firm voice.

Shaking her head, she said nothing as she walked away from me.

Arriving at the jeep, Mariana sat at the front with Rose, her son sitting to the right of me and mom to the left.

Looking at the Mexican kid.

" What's you're name kid"

" My name is Max mister" He said as he pointed at himself.

" That's a cool name bud" I said with a grin.

"Is it?" He asked looking at me expectantly.

" Yep, have you not heard of the legend of max the Mexican mafia boss"

" Really, is that true?" He asked with interest in his eyes.

" Yeah sure" I said with an honest expression as I nodded my head.

' Of course it's not true, dumbass'

Mariana seeing our interaction smiled warmly as she looked at us.

Mom seeing Mariana looking at me warmly, glared slightly at her as she reached out and hugged my arm.

Seeing this I could only sigh and stroke the hair of my tsundere mother to calm her down.
