'WHY WAS HE HERE?'

Jennifer immediately called Alissa.

"Track Leo's phone. He said that he had bought a new one and the old one must have been hacked by the gang who recently attacked our secret panel. Also make sure to delete all the records from it."

"Sis Amy, the gang members are from Lucifer's territory, right? Why must he attack us. Did we provoke him?"

"Yes, they were Lucifer's men. I am not sure what resulted them into doing this. Maybe something must have happened when our people went to Italy." Jennifer decided to check on the Lefen unit after her trip.

"I will track on Leo's phone. You don't have to worry."

Just after she ended her call with Alissa, Ava opened the door.

"Are you ready miss perfect body? We should go down now." Ava cheerfully danced in circle and threw her towel on a nearby chair.

Their room was on the 8th floor and the meeting was going to be held on 4th floor's business lobby.

"Let's go."

Both of them took the elevator down. It stopped on 7th floor and as the door opened, a red dressed girl, with dark red lipstick, dark black mascara and a red eyeshadow entered the lift.

Her makeup was very thick, paired with her big earrings. She wore matching black heels, which made a click-clack sound whenever she walked.

Ava felt like puking her galls out. She felt disgusted and hence shifted far away from her, towards the corner of the elevator and pulled Jennifer with her.

"Is she going to a party? Why dress up like that? She looks very ugly and disgusting." Ava made a funny face.

"Why do you want to build your own company?" Jennifer changed the topic, not wanting to tire herself out by speaking about an unimportant person.

Even though Ava's comment was loud enough to be heard in the closed walls of the elevator. The girl shamelessly started to speak, pretending to not have heard her taunting.

"Hi Ava, how are you? Are you also going for the meeting?"

"Oh hi, Natalie."

"I am going to a mall at 7pm. Would you like to join me?"

Ava straight forwardly ignored her and turned to face Jennifer, leaving her completely embarrassed.

Natalie gnashed her teeth in anger, but she could not show her displeasure on her face. So she smiled, which was more ugly than her angry face.

'If not for Emmett, would I care to talk to this b*tch.' Natalie thought.

The door opened, a long red carpet was rolled on the floor. Exquisite paintings, statues and photos were used to adorned the lobby.

After getting out of the elevator Jennifer spoke,

"You shouldn't have taunted her Ava. She may try to make things difficult for you in the near future."

"You are too forgiving Alissa. Don't you know how she acted that day in the bar. She tried to humiliate you, how can I take that? You are my friend, so I will always help you."

Jennifer felt a wave of warmth through her words. She hardly had any friends. Most of them were boys, as girls were jealous of her. Even if she was to wear her makeup, they used to feel jealous of her intelligence.

So she hardly got along with them. Ava was a genuine friend of her. She never had mind her look, nor did she felt jealousy because of her outstanding results.

Jennifer gave her a loving and beautiful smile. Ava was tranced by her smile. She thought that she was hallucinating, hence she blinked. But the next moment, the smile on Jennifer's face was gone, as if it was never present.

The duo walked through the lobby, where they had to pass their student identification card for entry.

Just as they entered the main lobby where the business meeting was to be held, Jennifer spotted a familiar figure standing in a corner.

Her heart thumped wildly.

'Why was he here?'
