A Confusing Turn Of Events

Alex was sprawled on the silky sheets on top of the king-size bed, alone. It was like heaven.

"I could kill for this to be a regular thing. " He groaned as he changed his position noisily. He was alone so he could sleep in any position he liked. Others had settled in the rooms adjacent to this room.

The plan was to spend the night here and search for a place tomorrow. Alex only had two days left to prepare before the mission. He had to find some more subordinates.

According to Kira, Alex could create at most eight more pureblood sanguine before his ability would stop working. So, he also wanted to fulfil that. He did feel bad taking away others freedom like that but the criminals deserved it anyway.

But Carla's situation still weighed on his mind. He couldn't leave her as it was and the only option was to turn her. So, Alex could do nothing but suppress those emotions.
