Chapter IX

There were only tall, colossal lifeless trees all around, it was like death resided in the forests. The forest was everything they feared and more. Everyone sensing deadly powerful creatures all around. Deselb and Nynphela walked with caution ready for anything, scared with the thought of their magika being dangerously low for this place; not mentioning, the magika of the young half dark elf. Nynphela and Deselb ask Myrtle's mom to stay right behind them and telling Orazen to stay close to them. The general, terrified with every step they took. After an hour of walking, they decided to rest before heading out once more. People asking about where they were headed and why were they taking this path. The parents both stayed quiet and decided not to say anything. No one but one individual actually knew where they were headed, not even Deselb himself. He only knew there was only one he would follow with no questions asked, Nynphela. Deselb's love gave him the confidence to follow Nynphela, leading them all to an unknown destination.

Before she was defeated by the humans a long time ago, the dark elves had to travel far from their land. Nynphela had made a 30-year journey all the way to the south to set up a teleportation gate, so that her people would invade and attack the humans. Though no one actually supported her plans of invasion, she still proceeded. The gate was ready for use, but Nynphela knew she wouldn't be able to convince/change her father in conquering the human nation. She went ahead and set the teleportation gate so they could retreat in case of failing. However, they had failed in taking over the nation, as well as being captured. Nevertheless, the gate was functional and gave her hope that it could take them to the dark elf territory. Dark elves where neutral with all species having a few disagreements with some nearby nations.

According to the trip, it would take them about a month and half by foot since they had to travel to the frozen waste land known as Gelida. It was inhabited by furozunants. They were humanoid creatures with snow white skin and are 9 feet tall. They had 10-inch sharp claws that could cut through metal, like if it were butter. Furozunants could run 50 miles an hour, they were the fastest in all the races without having to use magika or a skill. They could wield ice magic with ease, to kill or capture their opponents. They were terrifying creatures that not even humans wanted to go to war with since they could also summon snow giants or other familiars to fight alongside them. The furozunants were to be considered rank E creatures in there adolescence age. Once they reach adulthood, some of them could even put up a fight to one of the members of the Great Dynasty. Although all together, they could win with ease against even 1,000 furozunants.

Deselb and Nynphela were talking about what path they should take and where to set up for the night. While they both spoke with each other, all the general wanted was to die to avoid the possibility of having a horrible gruesome death. He started scheming of a way for them to kill him and taking revenge for his men. He whispered calling Orazen to come closer to him. The young boy listened since the general had tears in his eyes, feeling bad for him. The general told him that all he wants is for him to write a letter for his family; telling them he loved them, and to say he wouldn't be able to make it back to them. The boy feeling some guilt, asked him if he had some paper to where he could write his message. The general was surprised by the boy since he was willing to help him and that apparently, he knew how to read and write. Most enslaved creatures don't know how to read or write. The general told him he had a scroll on his horse. The boy turned to see the undead army and was dumbfounded since it was impossible to know which horse belonged to the general. When suddenly. one of the horses approached him with a worn-down bag. Orazen looked for the scroll inside the bag and found it almost immediately. The general told him to clear his mind before opening it. They boy looked at the general with a strange facial response from his weird request but proceeded to do as he said. Suddenly, a feeling of danger grew in Nynphela's and Deselb's heart. They looked at the only one who could give them such a feeling. As they turned, they saw how a bright light engulfed the young Orazen. They both tried grabbing the boy, but they were too late; both of them froze in place for a few minutes. Their boy had been engulfed by a bright light and instantly disappeared. The general laughed in contempt from knowing he had succeeded. Immediately grabbing Deselb's and Nynphela's attention, they demanded him to tell them what happened to their boy. Suddenly, the once undead army, collapsed. All the skeletons were now on the ground. That could only mean one thing, that the boy had perished. Deselb and Nynphela lost their control, releasing a colossal shock of aura, attracting all the creatures nearby.

All the creatures within reach came towards the shock of aura. Ranging from skeletons to undead creatures such as hydras, saber tooth, small wyverns, centaurs, griffons, etc… there were about around 40 creatures surrounding them. Everyone, scared from all the creatures that had appeared. As terrifying as the situation as come about, the parents didn't care; their hearts had just been shattered by the sudden realization that their baby boy was gone thanks to the human general. As the monsters were about to attack, they felt how a little demi-human girl hugged them by the legs, stealing there attention. It reminded them of how their boy would do the same. All they saw was little Myrtle's scared face. Deselb and Nynphela were hurting inside but there was nothing they could do anymore. They notice how they were surrounded by monsters and all they could do now was defend everyone who trusted them.

They exploited out every heartfelt emotion they felt onto their fight. Every punch, every strike, was for their son. The battle lasted for an hour, Deselb and Nynphela were victorious, however, all they wanted was to die because of their loss. The general began to feel pity for them after seeing how much suffering he brought them. In the end, Nynphela and Deselb passed out from how tired they were. As their consciousness faded, all the memories of their boy passed through their minds.

"Wait, how did you get here! No one is supposed to be able to be here!" The voice of a goddess echoed.

"No! Please, don't tell me I died! Please! No… Can you send me back to my parents! Please, send me back! Please, I beg of you please!" The boy begged with such sorrow.

No, no, no, no! It's impossible for you to be here, but how! Let's take a look at your life… Even if you die, you're not supposed to be able to come before me, unless I say so… Let's see…Hmmm… Oh no, no, no… How did you get a divine thread if I never gave you one? I like you, but not as much… Besides, I wouldn't have been able to pull such a stunt all by myself… and even if I did, I would be in so… much trouble. What am I supposed to do now?"

"Please tell me, am I dead?"

"Not exactly child. Somehow you were able to get here, but it's impossible. Even by teleportation, you're not supposed to be able to do such thing."

"So… I'm not dead?"

"Yes and no… the only way for you to be able to come before me is by dying. Even so, I have to grant you an audience and I never did such thing like I've told you before."

"So…. What's next?"

"What's next! What's next! … true? What's next? … I'm not supposed to interfere with any worldly matter but… yes, perfect! Now I grant you an audience, you mortal… Me, the great Goddess of Serenity, brought you here to bestow a greater power… You've shown you have been a great son and have followed my wishes. You've never lied, betrayed, or killed… Wait, what? No! That's impossible, you're only 12. How did you? No, it must be a mistake…Yes, a mistake… Let me take a look, it's impossible. You've killed over 100 humans…Oh my, you have actually killed that many, but why?"

"Hehehe, well, here's the thing…"

"The thing? The thing… you've killed more humans than anyone has at only 12 years old. I can't let you go back, I specifically told you not to break the world, but you didn't listen! Therefore, I'm not sending you back!"

"Hey, it's your fault in the first place! You're the one who gave me a skill I didn't have any control on! Not only that, but I also never killed anyone, it was my summon… and it was only because we were under attack…"

"How dare you say answer to me like that!"

"How dare I? How dare you say it was all my fault! I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to remember anything from my old life and yet, I remember everything…"

"You huh?"

"Yeah, I remember everything! Now, I'm sure there is someone who's higher than you… since you kept saying you could get in trouble… take me to him or her…"

"Now, now, let's not get hasty. Maybe I was a bit out of line, but I'll try to help you out, okay?"

"You're not so good at your job, are you?"

"Hey, that's no way to be grateful for what I'm about to do… but first, let me take a close look at how it is you got here and what I can do to prevent you from coming back…Oh, I see… Okay… Hmmm… Oh no… Not good… Hmmm… Okay… I know what I can do. Look kid, here's the thing, I can't exactly put you back with your parents, however, I can put you back in the world somewhere else. It would be a random location, but you'll have the chance of getting back to your family. Another thing, you can't go back to the same moment you were teleported here. The main reason why it's because time moves differently here, therefore, you'll be able to return, though you'll be a bit older."

"What? But will I be able to find my family?"

"Yes child, though a lot has change… Your father and mother well…, they aren't together anymore."

"How? They loved each other more than life itself! That's impossible!"

"Yes, their love story was meant to be the greatest in history…, but someone, whom I shall not mention, changed that… You were their whole life; you were what completed their love… They're still together, but not together. Your mother is now the Queen of the dark elves, along with the current king which isn't your father. You can say he's like, her mistress. And excuse me if I giggle but… you might be happy to know you have two siblings."

"How long has it been since I disappeared?"
