Midnight Talks With Her Best Friend
Tashina stirred in her sleep as she felt uncomfortable from lying on her right side all the time.
She tried to close her eyes and head back to her dreams but the attempt proved to be futile which made her sigh deeply in the darkness.
She flipped to her other side and settled close to Xavier who was sound asleep next to her. She looked up at his face and just prayed she could have a peaceful night like his.
These days, sleeping at night had become so strenuous that Tashina got scared when the day darkened.
She would only toss and turn multiple times and end up staring at the wall across her for hours until she was finally able to close her eyes but even at that, she never felt rested.
With a huff, Tashina got up from the bed gently, not wanting to wake her husband, and placed her feet on the cold floor. She put on her furry slippers and got up.
