HOW-TO-BE-A-GOOD-DAD

ANASTASIA

Xavier became all goofy when it came to our unborn babies. He took the role of serious dad when I talked about the babies. He too had started reading magazines and books about pregnancy and 'how-to-be-a-good-dad'.

Although I had asked him not to brutally punish Brittany, I knew she may loose her job. And now I felt guilty about telling Xavier about Brittany, which I shouldn't be. I shouldn't be guilty. But I was.

It's been three days since Gigi passed away, everything was returning back to normal. Everyone talked while dinner and lunch and took care of me. Noah was a very protective brother when we went for walks if Xavier was busy.

Xavier had made me a timetable to be healthy. It included regular exercises and walks. Healthy eating times, and sleeping times.

We still hadn't told my parents about my pregnancy, we were going for a dinner there today, to announce the news. I'm sure everyone will be soo happy.

At 7 pm we both got ready, and went to the car waiting for us.

"Ready?"

"Yeah" Xavier said.

We went to my parents house which wasn't too far.

"Mom, hi, Tia!" I exclaimed.

"Sweetheart, you're here! Hello dear!" she said to Xavier and me.

"You're here, seems like you don't miss us anymore"

"She does. Everyday" Xavier said smiling.

"Really, and you let her miss us, Xavier, you should fulfill all of my sister's 'wishes' "

By 'wishes' I knew what he meant, I eyed her angrily.

"Sure I do" Xavier said chuckling.

Mom was smiling widely.

"Come in you both"

"Where's dad?" I asked.

"On the dinning table, he's hungry" mom said laughing.

Dad, as usual was hungry. He's hungry all the time. Xavier smiled.

Once on the table, I asked for everyone's attention. I held Xavier's hand tightly and announced," Mom, Dad and Tia....I would like to tell you....that I'm pregnant...with twins!!"

"What!?!?! That's such a great news....Wow, I can't believe it!" Mom exclaimed.

"God bless you both" Dad said happily.

Tia was in some other place, she was lost in her own thoughts.

"Well I'll be the best Aunt in the world! Sia that such a great news!!" she exploded suddenly.

XAVIER

Everyone was so happy. Today, for the first time, I met them thinking of them as my family, and it felt like one. This was my family too.

"Celestia, I would want you to keep tabs on your sister. She's not very obedient"

"Of course" Celestia said smiling.

We had a great dinner, to be honest, I was now a fan of my mother-in-law's food. We talked heartedly. We laughed, and shared memories, and everything.

On our way back, Anastasia suddenly said, "Thanks for being so nice with my family"

"Well, don't be...remember it's my family too, not only yours"

"Oh, I see you're repeating my words"

"Yess"

I still wasn't very confident on how was I going to take care of Ana, and how was I going to raise my kids. I still was very nervous. But I know, with Anastasia on my side, I could be the best dad ever.

I hope my kids could be proud of me one day, but that was far future, right now, I wish I can make Anastasia proud of me.

I specially went to the office on Sunday (leaving Anastasia) at 8 am to fire Brittany, she was no longer a employee of DIOSA.

When I returned, I was of course, questioned by Anastasia about where I went in uch hurry.

I had to make up some stories to get her believe me.
