Light within the dark 2

Nicos opens his eyes which signifies he has finished his meditation for the day and was preparing to head back. As he was trying to get up from his meditation posture, his eyes caught on a light shiny out from the crevice in the wall on the cave. He wondered how come there's light coming out from the crack, he has been in this case countless times and can say the number of crevices in the cave but none of it emit light like it doing now. He stood up and walk toward the crevice to properly examine it.

As he move towards the crack where the light is coming from, he has this feeling that something surprising will come out of this but he try to calm himself quickly, he has learnt not to have too much of an expectation, the higher the expectation, the greater the disappointment when things turns out to be opposite of what one is expecting. He tried to see through the crack to determine what was emitting the light if possible but couldn't see anything. He decide to break the wall and find out the source of the light. He hit the wall to test it sturdiness and the wall immediately gave way, crumbling into dust. He ignored how easy the wall crumbled as he got fixated with what is in front of him. In place of the crumbled wall is a special space with blinding light that cause him to squint his eyes, luckily, where he is currently is the deeper part of the cave so the light did not go out. After his eyes adjusted to the light, he got a better look at something that was not suppose to be in the Forgotten Region according the record left behind. He found a pond brimming with spiritual water. As the son of two strong individuals, who has been exposed to many things and could discern that the pond is richly filled with Spiritual Element. Something that is non-existence in the Forgotten Region. After looking carefully, Nicos found out that the Spirit Essence is confide by a barrier and can't escape out of it. A new feeling of hope that was already dying down ignite inside him as this might spell a blessing in misfortune for him, he try to pry open the barrier but it didn't budge, he increases his effort to break the barrier, all the physical strength he could summon was put into breaking through the barrier but the barrier didn't give way and stand like a sturdy city wall against siege weapon.

Not wanting to give up, he continue to break the barrier but each time he cause a crack on the barrier, it repair itself immediately without giving him the chance to exploit the crack. This continue for three days, Nicos lost his sense of time as he was so focus on breaking the barrier that he did not know that so much time has passed. All this while, he only rest while staring at the barrier and didn't leave the cave as he was scared that he won't see the special space by the time he gets back. During his rest on the third day, he discovered that the water in the pond has reduced. And it dawns on him that using brute force to break-through the space is not going to work as the barrier is consuming the Spirit Element in the pond to repair itself. He begins to look around in case there's any mechanism that could be used to open the barrier, but after looking at every lurk and crannies, there is no mechanism to use in opening the barrier. Sitting down on the floor of the cave looking dejected and pained at the barrier that remains as it were from the time he has been trying to break it without having any minute changes. "Am I really not going to be able to break-through this barrier?" He thought aloud feeling frustrated. He remembers how he was treated with contempt by the people he called his friends and loved ones when it was discovered that there's no way to treat his decayed Spirit-Root. They completely ostracized him, looking at him with mocking gaze every time he encountered them. He was brought down from the high pedestal he was place on, every opportunities and privileges he had was taken away and he was reduced to mockery of the City and the bad joke to lighten up the mood in the bars and clubs. He is sure that, if not for his mother being a Tier 7 Healer, he might have gone missing without a trace and that would have been the end of him. Feeling aggrieved and anxious, he continue to find a way to break-through the barrier, because of his lack of Spirit-Root, he did not have any Spirit Essence in his body to use to try to break the barrier and have to find other means to enter the special space. After trying endlessly without result, he collapse on his knees helplessly, looking at the barrier standing in between what might be his only chance of renewal. At this time when he hit rock bottom and all hope seems lost, he remember one of the words his mother usually says to him, "for we make things possible not by force or our strength but by the spirit. Don't force it, even a person without a Spirit-Root has an inner spirit, allow him don't always try to be in-charge." As soon as the word flashed through his mind, he felt like he had an epiphany and gain enlightment on what to do. He immediately stood up and went to the barrier and try to touch it with is inner spirit but he keep feeling the barrier on his palm but didn't feel distressed this and continue to try to feel the barrier with his inner spirit.
