Contract

"Nicos, can we give the Spirit liquid to other people?" Nakita asked.

"I don't think that will be a good idea, Nicos only have two flask of this liquid and there's still Barnabas and Lady Chloe who haven't taken their portion. The rest will not be enough for everyone in the Forgotten Region, and this is also a dangerous step, it might endanger us if we let out the secret about the Spirit Liquid, not everyone will believe us if we say that the space where the Spirit liquid came from is sealed up, don't trust everyone, not everyone knows how to repay favour with gratitude." Alfonso replied him.

"The best way to do things is to find a way to solve the problem of the Forgotten Region and connect it with the Spirit Realm" he added.

"I agreed with what Alfonso said, this is a secret we need to guard even in the Spirit Realm." Chloe said "If we were to follow the suggestion you made, then we will be doing more harm and good to ourselves and everyone in the Forgotten Region and this place won't be as peaceful as it is now"

Human are complicated being, a good intention can be made into a bad one if one is not careful. Even though the Forgotten Region is peaceful, not everyone is with a clean mind, some does not mind being the King even in this forsaken place, but no matter how much turmoil one want to cause in the Forgotten Region, it has always been unsuccessful because there is a restriction in this place that nullified any attack against any similar being and everyone is suppressed to the level of ordinary person without any power or force. But that might not be the case again if some people have access to the Spirit Liquid and free themselves from the restriction. No one knows who has good intention or a friendly person, so it will be better to be cautious of every decision.

"What do we do then mum?" Nicos asked. The change on him and Tabitha is very pronounced and will make people curious and ask question which will lead to more problem and complications.

"You two must stay indoor from now on, and if you must go out, you must make sure you cover yourself properly so that no one will notice the changes on you" Chloe said. That the only way to solve the problem at the moment unless the problem of the Forgotten Region is being solved soon.

"You don't have to worry yourself too much, worse we will come up with an explanation that your Spirit root decayed and it has recovered and Tabitha went through her Spirit Affirmation ceremony but because the two of you were not able to gain entrance into the Spirit Realm, it caused the physical changes on you both." Nakita said

Everyone looked at Nakita astonished. "What, did I say something wrong?" He asked looking confused at the expression on everyone's face

"Wow Nakita, are you sure you are not an Orator or Trickster in the Spirit Realm for you to be able to come up with such story with little loopholes" Alfonso said.

"That's a good cover story for now" Chloe said "We might not be able to keep the story up for long unless you all want to be cooped indoor for most your times when you begin to look different from others due to you being able to enter the Spirit Realm. You must try to make contact with few people as much as possible."

Everyone agree with Chloe, even though it a good explanation at the moment, it might not be able to keep up for long if they make too much contact with other people. People will start to notice changes if they pay more attention to them. There's always a different between people who are able to enter the Spirit Realm and the ones who are unable to enter.

"Now, we will choose the time to enter the Spirit Realm, there's no much preparation to make apart from giving more explanation about the Spirit Realm to this two, the earlier we enter the Spirit Realm the better" Chloe said

"Nicos, what is your plan with the three little Spirit beast?" Chloe asked.

"There's nothing much I can do, they will always follow me around, I will see if they can gain entrance into the Spirit Realm with us" he replied.

"Brother, can I also have one Spirit beast too?" Barnabas asked

"Haha. Do you think it a house pet that you can keep?" Tabitha taunted him. Nicos look at his little brother for a while, due to the problem he had, he distance himself from him but that does not mean he didn't care for his brother, there are times he would stay far away just to watch him. But after Nicos stop playing with him, Barnabas rarely interact with anyone except from getting on the nerves of Tabitha.

"Are you sure?" Nicos asked him.

"I will just give it a try, there shouldn't be any harm. Though I have a feeling that is will be a success." He replied with a smile on his face. He had thought that his brother will reject his request, but it seems like it has always been like in the past where his brother always try to fulfill every of his requests.

"Okay go ahead and pick anyone you like" Nicos said

"Hmped" Tabitha snorted "I want to see how you will fail so I can make more fun of you" she said.

Barnabas ignored her and moved toward the Spirit beast and look at the one like that look more special out of the three, two of the three Spirit beast look like a wolf beast cub and the remaining one looked like a hybrid beast with the head of an eagle beast but have four limbs and a long tail that resemble that of a lion, looking closing, it seems more like a gryphon but without wings. Barnabas look at this one in particular as that is the one he felt like he has a chance with. The Spirit beast also look back at Barnabas curiously without moving back or hiding. Everyone watch silently to see how things unfold.

Barnabas got close to the little Spirit Beast that look like a gryphon and touch the three stars on it forehead. Immediately Barnabas made contact with the three stars on the forehead for the Spirit beast, a feeling like an electric current course through his body as if testing him but he refuses to remove his hand from the forehead of the Spirit beast and kept the contact. Moment after the electric current feeling, a contract formed between them. The three stars on the forehead of the Spirit beast merged and become on and moved to it glabella and the same star appear on the glabella of Barnabas signifying the success of the contract between them.

"It a success – much easier than I think" Barnabas said

"Congratulation" Nicos said

"You all are full of surprises one after the other making others feel jealous. I won't be surprise if the key of solving the issue of the Forgotten Region is linked to one of you" Nakita said not knowing that the statement he made casually is actually true and will shock him and the rest of the world when the time comes.

"See you all tomorrow, I look forward to the new journey together" he said as he left them

"Looking forward to it too" Alfonso replied him.

"What about the other two Spirit beast" Alfonso asked after Nakita left

"I won't be forming any contract with them as I have a connection with the four Spirit beast even though the other two have already contracted someone, the connection is still maintained. Unless they initiate it, I won't form a contract with them." Nicos replied.

"That's okay" Alfonso said.
