Too stiff to hold a woman zayne?

Helen watched as zayne climbed the steps, unaware of the hungry stares following him. She snorted. Bringing zayne along for spying is a serious no go. He was too noticeable, too...handsome. Oh my god, did she really just think that about him?

"Here are your drinks mam" the bartender called out to her. She turned around and took the glasses from him. Does he drink tequila? Whatever, if he wants another one he should come get it himself. She felt a lot of stares on her as she walked, a man smirked at her

"Hey gorgeous" he said, she ignored him and walked over to zayne. His eyes were on the man who just spoke to her, then he looked at her and raised a brow.

"What?" she asked handing him his glass.

"The guy doesn't really seem to have a good taste." he said sipping his drink.

She ground her teeth. "Jealous zayne?"

"Never" he said turning around, staring at the closed cabin door. The security guards standing outside glanced at him.

"You're going to have to really stop looking at that door." she whispered.

He sighed.

"Don't you ever get tired of it?" he asked, facing her.

"Of what?"

"Waiting" he sipped his drink. "It's fucking driving me crazy"

Her lips curved up. "I've been doing this for a long time, I'm used to it"

She turned to him, her hands on the railing "Though I suppose having good company helps, unlike now"

He stared at her flatly "Then I'm sure it must've been a nightmare for cristina all these years."

She stared at her drink, her thumbs tracing the tip of the glass. "Maybe" she said.

He blinked. He probably meant it as a jab, but something about it struck home. She sighed and lifted her drink to her lips, but he caught her wrist.

"No. You're not drinking."

"Excuse me?" she said, thoroughly offended.

He leaned in, his breath hot against her ear. "If you get drunk again, I'm not carrying you this time."

She turned to glare at him, probably a mistake. Because she was inches from his face. His eyes fell on her lips and her breath hitched. His eyes shot to her and she watched as his throat worked on a swallow, but he didn't move a muscle.

She gulped. Her eyes fell on a couple of girls standing near them, watching zayne with hungry eyes, one was openly glaring at helen. She didn't know what came over her then , but she moved. She reached her hand up and placed them on his waist and pulled him close, not quite touching but close enough that if she took a breath, they would touch and pressed her cheek to his face. zayne went entirely still.

"Helen" he said, voice rough and hands hovering awkwardly above her waist. She smiled and searched for something to say.

"It's going to be weird, if we stand here not doing anything. Your glass is empty and the guards are staring at us." she whispered, her lips touching his ear. She felt him shiver and exhale once. She fought a smile.

"Too stiff to hold a women zayne?" she asked, that made him stiffen. Almost immediately, she felt his hands on her waist and he pulled her flush against him, pinning her to the railing, he put his hands on either side of her and leaned back to stare at her. She lost all the bravado she felt now that he could see her. He leaned his forehead against her, and whispered over her lips

"Good enough for you?"

She lost her voice and answered only because of the smugness in his voice.

"Not really"

He chuckled and she felt his hand on her waist again. He squeezed, hard. Then his lips moved, pressing soft kisses along her cheek, her chin, her jaw. He slid his other hand over her back and pulled her close, she put her hands on his shoulder. Then he was biting her earlobe and she gasped, her fingers digging in to his shoulder. Then she felt his tongue there, hot against her ear as if he was soothing the bite and muscles curled low in her belly. Her eyes fell shut, and she forgot the mission, the people, the guards, all she felt was him. His hands, his scent. Him.

He leaned back to look at her and she opened her eyes and zayne gulped at whatever he found in her eyes.

"Helen" he whispered, softly like the night he carried her to her room. She realized, she liked it. Liked the way it sounded on his lips. She moved on instinct seeking his lips but then the cabin door opened and they both stilled. Helen felt like a bucket of ice water dropped on her. What was she doing? what the hell was she thinking? She wanted to scramble away from him, but that would seem suspicious. So she stayed like that in his arms, taut as a bow string. she looked up at him, but he wasn't staring at her. His eyes somewhere behind her, his face closed off.

Good, she thought. Because what they did was madness but she couldn't understand why she felt bitter inside. She watched as william exited the cabin and walked away.

"We should go" she said, finding her voice.

He nodded. "Start the car and keep an eye on them, I'll pay for the drinks" he said already turning away. She stood there for a second, breathing. It felt like a dream. Like it never happened. forget it, she thought.

She was out of the bar in time too see william climb inside his car. She walked as fastly as she could to her car and started it, the car door opened and zayne climbed in and they were speeding off, williams vehicle a few steps ahead of them.

Both of them were silent as death, not uttering a word. She hated it. Hated the silence. she shouldn't have touched him, shouldn't have let him touch her. She looked sideways at him, finding him staring at william's car, his jaw tight.

She sighed, the banter was so much better than this silence. It was suffocating but still she couldn't bring herself to regret it. Then william's car stopped near a villa. She slowed the car down. The house was exactly the same as in pictures. So the media was right then. This is where he lived. She sped the car past the villa and after they are at a safe distance, she asked

"So, getting inside justin's office is off then?"

He was silent for a few seconds.

"Yeah, let's go back to the mansion"
