There were still some players who chose to stay in the sea area and the desert area that weren't vassals of the royal families, however, their destinies were to be cannon fodder and they mind as they thought that they would be the ones to benefit the most in this event.
They were the players that weren't present in the beginning and didn't witness the eeriness that happened in the city. They didn't pay much heed to the warnings of the interface and only had their minds on the rewards of the event, hence their foolish bravery.
The Alexander team's strategy was a bit serpentine, in its pattern. They planned to weave through the forest for maximum coverage, using the natural camouflage of the forest to set traps and create illusions, disorienting the Dark beings.
