He was already in a foul mood because of the phone call he had earlier, and now he came back to find that the two had exchanged numbers- it made his mood drop even more.
"Zhihao," Bai began, his tone measured, "I think it's best if you refrain from flirting with Lai."
Lai could hear the subtle hint of irritation in his voice. Zhihao was oblivious, still sporting a playful smile. The guy leaned back in his chair, ready to respond to Bai's words.
"You know how you can be in relationships," Bai continued, "You're never serious, so you-"
However, before Bai could finish his sentence, the waiter arrived with their ordered meals and drinks, interrupting the conversation.
"Here are your dishes," the waiter announced pleasantly, placing the plates in front of each guest.
"Thank you," Lai smiled at the waiter, who smiled and then walked away.
