"Fuck, I didn't remember to block my mind. My vulnerable state made me forget, now he read all that have been thinking.", Melinda thought in her mind
"And I read that too", Brian said playfully, dropped the novel in his hands and walked to her.
"I know how you feel and I understand you right now"
"No, you don't"
"Please, can you share your worries with me", Brian pleaded worryingly
"I'm fine", she answered abruptly, she didn't want to share her vulnerability with him , though she felt like.
He wanted to follow Tabitha's advice by giving her some space and time, but he knew she needed someone to make her heal internally.
Melinda blocked her mind immediately, then she remembered the Alpha's last words,"you and your mate should not get on my nerves".
"What happened between you and the Alpha today?"
Brian went back and sat on the bed and that was when his eye caught note of Melinda's tattered and dirty dress, he only knew she was sad and remembered her past this night but didn't know what caused her to remember all of it.
He became worried immediately, "Melinda what happened to your dress".
Melinda remembering moved up to the dressing mirror and switched on the lamp, a huge gasp escaped her lips after seeing her reflection in the mirror, her hatred for Tabitha doubled up again.
'This bitch will totally suffer', she thought to her self
"About thisss" she stuttered
"I fell down while sitting on the tree",
Brian could sense that she was lieing, "are you sure that's what happened", he asked again
She nodded her head and entered the bathroom to freshen up, though she felt bad anytime she behaved harshly with him
Brian felt down a bit and just laid his back on the bed and closed his eyes.
She got back and joined him on the bed, she knew he was not sleeping and asked, "about my question earlier?", She sat up.
Brian felt slightly embarrassed but decided to tell the truth, "hmmmmmm", he scratched his head
"You know Tabitha lost consciousness in the ball room so I went to check up on her...", He explained to her skipping the pregnancy part
Then talking about Tabitha he remembered,
"You were saying earlier that you will make Tabitha suffer, please don't do anything rash",
"Why do you say so",
"If not for anything for the love you have for Luthan, am not meant to say this but she's carrying his child and he doesn't know yet", Brian bursted out to his mate, hoping she will understand.
He saw Tabitha as his sister and doesn't want any harm falling near her or her unborn child.
Anger blare up inside of Melinda, it was as if Brian was adding salt to her wound, "so that mother fucking bitch his pregnant", she cursed under her breath, though Brian heard, which made him wonder what type of mate did the moon goddess bestow to him.
The only thing good about her ,was her beauty. Though he felt bad for not keeping his promise to Tabitha but he wanted to be on a clean page with his mate, so she will also do the same and it might improve their already crooked relationship.

The next morning, Luthan woke up to find his mate's sleeping face looking so cute and adorable.
He used his fingers to adjust the stray strands of hair on her face as she slept peacefully, her breathing was even and her heartbeat were like melody in his ears.
He stared at her lovingly like she was the only precious thing in the world.
"Thank the moon goddess for giving you to me", he said aloud , but she couldn't hear, she was sound asleep.
He pecked her on her rosy pink lips, as soon as he removed the blanket from his body, he realized they were both naked.
