Hearing Jared's words, Travis could help but gawk. Was Bryan this strong? If it's true that Bryan is so strong, won't that mean that Jared is powerful since he could block out more robust flames?

These thoughts flooded Travis' mind as he looked at the robust flames outside the barrier. Was Bryan that strong? What about Jared and Duane? If they are this strong, doesn't it mean that I would lose to them in a battle? I thought I was stronger than them... But now, I don't that would be true since I can't even activate my superpowers', Travis thought.

"We are here...", Duane said, dragging Travis out of his trance. stepping out of the barrier, they could see a large boundless desert. Seeing the desert, Travis couldn't help but frown.

"Come on! Does it really have to be a desert?", Surprisingly, even before he could bust out in frustration, he heard a loud shout from behind him. Turning his face to the source of the voice, Travis' mouth turned into a big 'O' shape.

"You really hate deserts this much?", Travis asked, his lips turning into a slight smile.

"Of course, it's so hot in here that it's making my skin rough.", Jared said as he touched his skin.

"Hehe, Jared dislikes heat because of the element he uses, which is the direct opposite of flames. Most people who have elements tend to dislike extreme conditions that go against their superpowers. For example, Roland and Sarah hate the sea due to the abundance of water there.", Duane explained.

"Oh, I see. They are the ones suffering...", Travis nodded his head.

"Isn't that the flag?", Roland said as he pointed to the southern part of the desert. At the far end of the desert stood a red flag, no, two flags that were erected on a long pole and danced magnificently in the air.

"Hm, Let's get it before the other group arrives. They are... wait, they disappeared from the radar?", Duane said his expression full of shock.

That was basically, the red dot on the radar that showed their enemies' location suddenly went missing. There was no sign of their location anywhere!

"Huh? what should I do?", Sarah said her face filled with sweat as she looked at the radar.

"There is only one thing we can do. And that is to capture that flag!", Duane said as he looked at the flag.

"Come on, let's go!", Duane said, taking the lead as he sped up, moving at the most incredible speed that Travis had ever seen. The group then proceeded to move at an incredible speed to capture the flag. This time, Travis had a hard time trying to keep up with them. They were moving really fast, that even made Travis doubt his own strength. And this time, he was sure that he was far behind them.

"Wait!", Duane shouted, startling Travis and the others as they went into full alert. By this time they were exactly around fifty metres from capturing the flag.

"What the hell is wrong this time?", Sarah asked.

"They are here...", Duane said.

"Who?"

"Our enemies...", Duane said, Vision narrowed to a pinprick as he stared into the distance, exactly a hundred metres from them. Seeing Duane looking so serious, the others also turned their heads to where his gaze was fixed at. However, they couldn't see anything due to the sun carried from the desert by the wind.

After a while, a shadow could be seen appearing, and expanding from the cloud of dust with amazing speed.

Who is that? Travis thought as he looked at the expanding shadow from the cloud of dust. The shadow became clearer and clearer as it showed the shape of a human being.

"She is the one?", Duane muttered to himself as he looked at the human-shaped shadow.

"You know who is coming?", overhearing Duane's muttering, Jared couldn't help but ask Duane.

"Oh, yes. Its Kate.", Duane answered, casting a sceptical gaze over his shoulder.

"Kate? How did you know?", Sarah asked.

"I am too familiar with her aura...", Duane trailed off.

So it's her, Travis thought. Of course, Travis knew who Kate was. Kate Gregory as her name suggests was a member of the first class family: Gregory. She is supposedly the cousin of Duane, however, she wasn't on good terms with Duane.

Kate Gregory is naturally fierce and impatient. This isn't surprising considering she is someone with a prosperous childhood.

Even though Travis didn't know more about her, he knew that at least Kate wasn't someone anyone would like to mess with due to her behaviour. After some time, more human shadows appeared in the cloud of dust.

Soon the shadows grew into students who were wearing the uniform that was given to those with superpowers. They were being led by a lady who also wore the same clothes.

They all had powerful auras. As for their leader, her aura was o par with Duane! After some time, they stopped exactly 50 metres from the flag.

"Hello, Duane...", Kate said as she looked at Duane. She was wearing the dress given to them by the teachers for the ceremony.

"What? Why didn't you capture the flag when you had the chance..", Duane said eyeing Kate as though his bullshit meter was ticking in the red zone.

'She was already here?' Hearing what Duane said, Travis couldn't help but notice the weird atmosphere. 'Something isn't right!'

"Oh, It seems that there was a change to the menu...", Kate said.

"Huh? What change? The only mission they gave us was to capture the flag", Duane said, casting a cold gaze at Kate.

"Oh, you don't believe me right, you can check the ceremonial menu", Kate said, her lips turning into a thin smile. Hearing what Kate said, Duane proceeded to check the ceremonial menu.

"Hm, so you were speaking the truth?", after reading the ceremonial menu again, Duane couldn't help but look at Kate, who currently had a posture full of confidence.

"Humph, you think I am a liar? Well, I noticed the change in the mission when I found out that you went missing on the radar", Kate said.

'So the same thing happened to them huh? It only seems true since they weren't able to locate us, else, they would have set a trap for us before we would have gotten to the Flag. she only sensed us when we were near just like Duane did,' a lot of thoughts entered Travis' head as he listened to their conversation.

"Hmph, I will make sure to beat you down this time!", Sarah's sweet voice resounded in Travis' ear.

"Oh, the little princess is part of your team? I think I must have given her a trauma with the beatdown I gave her the last time. You don't seem to forget! Hehe!", Kate said, her posture; very confident.

Kate and Sarah also had some history. When Sarah was admitted into the school for the first time, her bad attitude landed her in a very bad fight with Kate. She got beaten down by Kate into a bad state.

"You aren't going to say that after I beat you down!", Sarah said, her posture, also full of confidence.

"Hehe! Are you sure?", Kate said with a teasing smile on her face. Seeing Kate's teasing smile, Sarah's eyes narrowed, and she got a vertical wrinkle between her eyebrows. Her lips pursed slightly. Hot flames then burst out of her hand.

Seeing Kate's nonchalant actions, Sarah was so angry that she wanted to attack but was quickly stopped by Duane.

'There is Kate, Robin, Melvin, Roy and finally, wait, Silva?', Travis's eyes nearly popped out of their socket when he saw the last person on Kate's team. He didn't expect any other normal person to be in the game apart from him, not even his best friend. He believed that he was the only one that would survive but it seems that, it's not entirely true. At least Silva surviving the game meant that there were some normal people who survived.

Travis knew Silva. At least she was the most popular 'normal person' who had otherworldly beauty. However, she had a very dark past. Silva was punctilious, calm and stubborn. But what would you expect from somebody with her disturbing past? She was born and grew up in a first-class family in Frozen Lake city, she lived happily until she was about 13 years old, but at that point, things took a turn for the worst.

Her family discovered that she didn't have any superpowers, and decided, they didn't want her. But at least her parents still cared for her. But things turned out worse than she had imagined.

She lost her parents when they passed on after an attack from the cursed where they attacked Sun City, a city located around the southern part of Frozen lake city. Alongside her older brother, Clifford Haley, who was also sacked from her family, she had to survive in a bizarre world. But with her determination, she managed to reach her full potential and train to perfection. This has turned her into the girl she is today.
