Madness at the City's Center

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Andrew fired three rounds through the window, completely obliterating the glass in the process. The bullets tore through the air and struck two of the men, removing large chunks of their bodies. The third hit the car and punched a massive hole in it.

Due to his wrist injury, the gun's kick was especially painful. After firing the rounds, he had to take a brief respite for the pain.

The police officers to his right stopped their car at an angle and opened their doors. They got out an took cover behind their vehicle, near the engine. One spoke into their radio and the other aimed their gun at the two cars.

"We've got shots fired! I repeat shots fired! We need backup on the corner of 43rd and 44th Street!"

Andrew, after his brief rest, took aim at the people belong to the van once more. There was a total of four of them, but he had only hit two. On the bright side, the two that he hit were definitely not getting back up.

He took aim at one of the men who had their head slightly out of cover. Andrew lined up his sights and fired a round, blowing the top of the man's head off.

The last man from the black van quickly raised himself and fired shots at them. Glass shattered and the car was punctured. Unfortunately for him, the man missed his targets.

Out of the four who were still recovering, Faust was the first to reorientate himself. Immediately his hand reached over to the radio, and he cranked it all the way up. Once the music blared through the speakers, he amplified it immensely to the outside world. At the same time, he dampened it and block the outside sounds from entering the car.

The shrill echoes of the radio shattered all of the nearby glass through sheer force. It got louder and louder until the radio itself stopped working. The police officers and the man from the black van all clutched their now bleeding ears.

While not being able to hear anything except a loud ringing, the officer yelled into the radio, "We've got a magical presence, get the goddamn MCF down here!"

Although he couldn't hear it, a response came shortly requesting backup, "The Magic Containment Force is currently engaged at another scene. Unable to fulfill request. Officers will arrive on scene shortly."

Luke finally got himself under control, but it seemed Leo had hit his head during the crash because he wasn't awake. Luke unbuckled himself and grabbed a handgun while his head was still slightly hazy. He looked out the window, past Andrew, and saw the black van.

He turned back and placed his arms around Leo's shoulders. He shouted and shook him to wake him up. It didn't have much affect but shortly after, Leo's eyes did weakly open.

Faust grabbed his gun as well and looked out towards the cops. He didn't notice much on their side since everybody was currently preoccupied.

Those in Doe squad were waking themselves up from the crash and arming themselves. Those in the police were waiting for backup to arrive. Those in the black van were almost certain to be waiting for backup as well. The police and the man from the black van were most likely recovering from their ear wounds.

Andrew decided to use this to his advantage, and he kicked opened his door. He stepped outside and nearly stumbled to the ground. He reached out and grabbed the doorframe and the man from the black van aimed his gun at him, suddenly peaking from his cover.

Andrew raised his gun but before he could fire, a loud crack resounded and echoed throughout the tall skyscrapers that surrounded them. The man slumped over the van with a large cavity in his chest. Andrew looked back at his car and noticed Faust looking at him with a gun in his hand.

"Pay more attention next time. Can't have you dying on us." Faust muttered before looking away.

"Y-yeah." Andrew said as he got out of the car.

Leo leaned back with a splitting headache. He noticed Andrew leaving the car and the rest still sitting inside of it. He looked to the left and noticed a van, to his right police officers. He raised his gun and shot the officers with scary accuracy. He popped open his door and turned on his gun's safety.

He stepped out and stumbled on the car's door frame, just like Andrew. Except, Leo had a much more spectacular fall. Leo landed on the ground and tiny pieces of glass entered his hands. He groaned slightly and started pushing himself up. As he got up, he was hunched over slightly as he recovered.

At the same time, Faust and Luke finally left the car as well. Faust went over to grab Avery Junior and Luke went to support Leo. When Luke reached Leo, Leo placed his hand on Luke and supported himself. He shook and slapped his head to try and clear it and was partially successful.

Leo looked down at his gun and turned off the safety. He looked at Luke and half-deliriously said while tapping Luke's chest, "Gun safety. It's important, you know?"

Luke's face distorted slightly in bewilderment, and he nodded, "Uh-huh. Yeah…"

Faust pulled Avery out of the car, and he also fell to the floor. He was still completely unconscious. Faust groaned as he leaned down and begun carrying Junior.

The five began making their way down the street slowly and two sets of cars entered the street at the same time. At opposite ends of each other, a flood of black vans and police cars showed up. Since they were heading down the street towards the cops, Andrew raised his gun and took aim.

In slight bursts, he fired at the cars in front. The bullets ripped through the vehicles, creating large holes, shattering the glass windows and sirens alike. The officers in these cars were heavily wounded or died, their cars swerving out of the way of the fire. This introduced the cars behind them to the gun fire and they swerved too. At this point, the officers noticed they were being fired upon, so they stopped their cars.

Unfortunately for Doe squad, the rounds that Andrew had produced did not contain as much firepower as the ones he made back at Myer's Munitions. As such, the bullets couldn't pierce all the way through the engine blocks. That didn't mean however, it wouldn't punch massive holes through flesh and thin metal.

Andrew pressed the mag release on his gun, dropping a dry mag to the floor and slamming a fresh magazine into it. He slapped his left hand against the bolt release in anger and changed his firing mode to single shot. Everyone in Doe squad took cover behind the cop car as Andrew fired more rounds at the police.

He only fired a couple of rounds before moving up to the closest cop car that had been disabled. While he did so, Luke raised his gun and fired to cover for him. Andrew made it to the car and raised himself to fire back at the police.

"Go!" He yelled in between his shooting.

Faust carried Avery and Luke carried Leo. The four made their way over to Andrew at the car. Midway through, a cop hiding in an alleyway peeked from behind cover and aimed at them. Andrew quickly turned and shot at the man. A round pierced the cop's shoulder, removing the connection from his body to his arm.

The man fell to the floor in pain clutching the area where his arm used to be. Andrew turned and began firing back at the police.

"Do not hesitate." The words of both Ethan and Mr. Griffith echoed in Andrew's ears, "Hesitation is death."

Andrew expertly shot at any exposed body parts, as rounds from his gun would render somebody incapacitated easily. The gunfire echoed constantly between the glass giants as screams from civilians rang out from the nearby buildings. Andrew ignored the sounds and kept firing and firing at the police.

Behind them, the men in the black vans finally got out of their cars.

"Targets in sight, check your fire for Mr. Holmes." A man with slicked back hair said as he got out of the car. He wore an impeccable suit without any body armor, unlike his subordinates. He stretched slightly before throwing on a chest rig to carry his ammo and grabbing a rifle from the car.

He checked the chamber and the sight. He tinkered with the scope slightly as his men moved forward towards Doe squad.

Finally, he lifted his gun and began walking forward.

Edward Olender, an Angel executioner. A hitman hired by the late Selina Myer to take out any competition threatening them.

Okay, I definitely caught something, I feel like crap. This chapter and the last two haven’t been edited because of me feeling sick. When I feel better, I’ll get around to them. (They have been now)

The Leo in this chapter might be a slight representation of myself. Very loopy.

This first arc is full of references, the next won’t be (probably lol)
