"Shadow there's an accident on the shadow bridge! Someone set a bomb there and there's a car that's about to fall!" I said," OK on it."

My name is Amelia and I'm 19 years old. I used to be in high school but my life took a turn. I wasn't normal growing up, always felt like there was something wrong with me but I felt proud that I was different.

It turns out I was different but I had to leave my friends behind in order to fulfill who I was born to be.

As I got to the shadow bridge, yeah they named it after me, but that's not important right now. A child screamed as I got closer. I looked over towards the direction I heard it come from. There was a child screaming with the car barely hanging off the edge.

My black and red wings came out and I flew super fast to the car. It was a blue Minivan. Sitting in the car was a child's scared little face.

There in the back of the car was a little girl who seemed to be no older than 5," Sweety, come closer to me. I'm gonna help you get out of here. " She shook her head and hugged her stuffed animal bunny.

" Sweetheart I'm just going to get you back to your mommy and daddy OK?" I was her eyes light up when I said something about her mom and dad. She nodded bravely.

She slowly came to me. I grabbed her just as the car fell to the ocean. She held on to my waist as her life depended on me. I slowly flew back to the rail of the bridge as my feet touched the ground, a lot of people were around us.

A crowd had started forming and felt my wings fold up and disappear. Two people came running towards me, a man and a woman.

The little girl's parents. I handed the girl to the father. The girl said," Daddy!" The man lifted the girl is and said," My baby girl is OK!" The crowd burst into cheers. I gave a small salute and my wings came out and flew away back to headquarters.

As I found my way back, standing there was the only person I had left, Deverell. Yes, his name is Deverell. He's a vampire, very old. I found him alone one day and we started talking.

He's really sweet and he's saving himself for his soulmate. You know what I mean right? It means His soulmate will be his first.

Anyway, he was laying on the couch," Good job shadow. " " Deverell get your lazy butt off my couch." He complained to the thought of moving," But it's so soft." I complained," Get your fat butt off my couch before I kick your ass off. "

He mumbled," Someone's in a bad mood." Remember when I said that he was really sweet? Let me fix that - he's annoying as hell sometimes. I mumbled," Motherfu - "

Deverell said interrupting me," Watch that mouth of yours, young lady." " Yes, mother." He scowled and glared at me because of my sarcasm," Shadow."

I smirked," Well you're old enough. " He glared at me one more time before jumping off the couch after hissing at me. " Good boy." He hissed at me once more before saying," Don't treat me like a dog."

" Don't pull your fangs out on me." He glared before saying," Fine, but I got to go feed." " Just remember don't kill any people." He said," Yes Ms. I'm the goddess of protection. " I laughed, " That's because I am, stupid."

He smirked," I know you are but what am I?" " An idiot." He groaned. " Go feed before you lose control. " He nodded jumping out the window. God, vampires can so annoying.
