Chapter 17 - Academy

That night after everyone had gone to bed Maeisha went to her study and research on Battle School.

Maei's parents had taken her to the Civil Affairs office to get her Jade band.

After coming back she changed the privacy settings on her door so that she will know when anyone wants to come in and then went into her space.

As soon as she went inside Bobo came running into her arms and started crying.

"Master its been two days since you came in to meet Bobo. Don't you want Bobo anymore." He said grievously. His small furry face sad and blue eyes watery.

Maei was once again pushed down on the ground by Bobo.

She was dumbfounded and realised that she had forgotten to tell Bobo that she wouldn't be able to come inside before being sure that no one could come inside her room unannounced.

"I am sorry Bobo. I forgot to tell you that I wouldn't be able to come in for a few days."

"Bobo forgives master but next time master should tell Bobo." He said with a cute expression.

"Ok next time I will tell you."

"Master how is your family. Are they like the families back in the sect?"

"NO. My family is very good and kind to me. I told them about the bracelet but didn't tell them that its an independent space just that its a spatial bracelet. Even then I didn't see anyone being greedy for my stuff. This world is very different form the world we came from."

"There, everyday was death and more death, while people fighting for resources available and killing each other for it. It was either kill or be killed. Its different here. Theres an Empire. People share the resources rather than hog them. The Empire supports and trains the young and they get promoted according to what they deserve. The harder one works the more they gain here. A persons identity is not what matters here but what they can do."

She then began to tell Bobo everything she had seen or read so far including about computers.

"Bobo I think you will like the computer. Since you like learning everything the computer is like a moving library. Unless its something classified or rare, you can read about it on the computer. This world is very advanced than the one we came from. People have found research for different things and metals I have never heard of. Everything is so different here."

Bobo was very excited and he started to bounce all around her. "Master I want to see the computer. Even I want to see everything that you see."

But then he suddenly flopped down and started to whine as he realised something.

"Master I can't go outside with you right now. ying ying ying!!"

Maei started to laugh at his antics, "Ok ok. when I Reach peak Master Martial Soul Realm (MSR) you can come outside. Although you can't move too far away from me you can still see the things around me."

"Master then you have to work hard. I want to come outside soon." He said while trying to pull his master to go and practice.

Maei was once again unable to do anything but pat him on the head.

While doing that she was thinking about what grandfather had told her about battle school. She had to make a decision soon and tell him.

Normal school's new semester starts in a week while Battle School was two months away.

From what she read about the Capital Academy it was a school where people with both MS (martial spirit) and people without MS could go to.

According to the law in the Empire every child once he was 10 was supposed to go to school for mandatory education for the next ten years.

It didn't matter weather they had MS or not. The child was tought everything he needed to survive in society.

The capital Academy was just like that. Although it taught the way of MS but its most important school was for its support talent. If a person didn't have aptitude in MS he could learn to specialise in Law, Medicine, Engineering, Computers, Alchemy, Artefacts, Biology, Exo-biology, Chemistry, History, Literature, Maths, Business etc.

A child was tought all the above for the first 5 years with fitness training before he could choose to specialise in them. That way not only would the child have good fitness but they would also have a good base of other subjects.

After years of wars there was a shortage of children being born.

Every child was special to the Empire and it took great pains to make sure that every child was educated properly before letting them free in society.

It was also because that The Empire put so much importance on education that all the people in the empire have become literate in the past 500 years. The Empire was also more advanced and progressive than the other continents in the world.

Now the Battle school. The Battle school was completely different from the Academy.....
