Chapter 16 - Meeting The Cousins

In the evening Grandfather Alfan invited the whole family for lunch and to get to know Maeisha. After all she was the young miss of the family.

2nd uncle Leon came with his wife Anny while his twin sister Laila came with her husband Carlo Amado. Uncle Leon had Twin daughter and son named Alma and Axel, while Aunt Laila had two sons named Gael and Noa.

Grandfather's younger brother Gard came with his wife Iren and his son Denis. Uncle Denis was married to Aunt Eirin and had two sons and one daughter. Their sons were named Ivan and Raul while their daughter were named Sora.

The parents took a leave of absence for the kids so they could finally meet their youngest cousin. Maei was the youngest child in the family and everyone was curious about her.

The whole family came to meet her with their kids. Maei was very nervous as this was the first time she would have such a large family. She was also looking forward to having a Sister.

Everyone was waiting for them to come in the main hall when the main steward announced that the family were here.

Soon she could see three handsome middle aged men and an old man come inside leading their families.

As soon as the kids saw Maei they rushed towards her.

Soon Maei was in the middle with her elder brothers and sister surrounding her.

"So this dumpling is his sister." The oldest of them, Gael Amado asked rhetorically.

Seeing her nervous face her elder brothers Lorcan and Cian came to her rescue.

"Ok Gael. Stop scaring her or she will run away as soon as she sees you next time."

Gael was scared. He didn't want his new sister to hate him especially since she looked so cute, nothing like his brat of a brother.

"Hello Maeisha. I am your elder brother Gael. If anyone ever troubles you, come to me and I will beat him up."

"She doest need you to beat anyone up. If anything she should come to me." A boy the same age as Gael said, "Maei I am your elder brother Axel. If you can't find Lorcan then come find me and I will beat that person up." He said with an after thought after Lorcan gave him a faint smile.

'Damn Lorcan! scaring the crap out of every child in the family!'

That was when the beautiful and gentle eldest sister who looked like a faery pushed everyone away and hugged her,"Ok ok, stop surrounding her. Hello Maeisha I am your Eldest sister Alma. If you ever need anything you can come to eldest sister and sister will buy it for you ok."

This was the first time she was ever hugged by a beautiful girl and Maei blushed while nodding cutely in her arms.

Sister Alma went on, "These are the rest of your cousins."

She pointed towards a shy and cute girl her age, "That is your elder sister Sora." who smiled brightly at him and pulled her cheek. "Hi."

Then she pointed at the three boys who were standing together. "These are your elder brothers Noa, Ivan and Raul."

All three boys waved back together and said hello.

Maei laughed at their actions. Slowly her nervousness went away and the feeling of happiness settled in her.

Grandfather Alfan then called her over to meet her uncles and aunts.

"Darling this is Grandfather's younger brother Gard and his wife Iren. Call them granduncle and grandaunt."

Maei bowed and called them with a cute dimple smile, "Hello Granduncle...Hello Grandaunt."

Both the elders were charmed by her and gave her a game that was popular with kids as a meeting present.

"Elder brother finally our lost child is found. The whole family is back together at last. Now we can pamper our little girl and give her everything she missed." Granduncle quietly said emotionally to Grandfather Alfan.

Grandfather Alfan also patted his brother on his shoulders and fiercely said, "Now that the whole family is together we will make sure to protect them. Anyone who wants to harm our family I will annihilate them."

NO one heard what the grandfathers were talking about.

Maei met her Uncles and Aunts as well and greeted them with respect and smiles.

No one could resist her smiles and her hands were stuffed with meeting gifts from the whole family.

Grandfather Alfan cleared his throat and took Maei beside him while calling for everyone's attention.

"Today we have got our darling back and we all wish nothing but happiness and safety for her. I know that all of you want to know her results from the testing stone this morning. I am happy to announce that darling's Aptitude is not any less than her eldest brother, its actually even better than his."

Everyone cheered and were sincerely happy for her. Now no one could point fingers at Maei and say that after being lost she was a good for nothing or a burden on her family. Though they could fight back it wouldn't make much of a difference to these people. Now they don't have to worry.

They could retort back proudly that she was better than them!!

"Now the decision remains is weather darling should go to a normal Academy like Cian or to Battle School like Lorcan."

Maeisha was confused. Whats a battle school???...
