The Insurrection of the Inept Hero

So far everything is going pretty well, both sides (Nero, aka. Naoko and the King/other heroes) has been giving enough detail on whats happening. Writing Quality- Although somethings get kinda repetitive, the quality is still pretty good, up to my standards, its alright. Stability of Updates- The author updates this story quite often, I feel satisfied for this part so far. Story Development- This story is more fast paced and if you don't like fast paced then I don't think you should read it; but for me I like it, fast paced stories are my thing. Character Design- The author doesn't fail for designing his characters. So far, every time we have a new character arrive the author explains them in detail, doe sometimes I feel like he does get a bit lazy but I also get lazy in my writing so I really have no complains in this section. World Background- Although the author focuses more on the character development and story/plot, the world background are explained little by little. It is not like some novels where they explain the whole world in one chapter. The author gives us details about the world in some chaps and not other while making things clear and understanding. Overall, for my preferences, I give this novel 5/5 so far. I'm really liking how things are going so far. Every thing is going smoothly for me so far, I hope to see more great things in the future.

Honest review (Ignore the rating) Also, pin this author. Alright, where should I start? The writing quality is fine. A few grammar mistakes here and there, but it's readable. Updates are perfect and sometimes go on a hiatus but that's fine since all authors do that. The story pace is perfect, though it leans on the accelerated part a bit. The designs of the characters are alright and the world background is gradually explained at a pace you are able to understand. In my opinion, I say this is a great novel. The first few chapters (Probably around 30 chapters) are very meh, but they provide handy information. After that, the story gets better from there. That's pretty much it... Also, the smut chapters are very enjoyable... if you know what I mean...

this just is a copy of shield hero, it even copies all the essentials of the anime, hero has useless class and can't defeat anyone so he gets a slave that likes him and helps him kill things to level up, but people hate him because he offended the king's daughter, ( or in this case the king ). and then at the last part that I saw of shield hero, he awakens a demonic power that uses his rage

What i am about to write... doesn't necessarily mean i say its bad ar something just that it hurts my head a little...you should read the novel regardless and form your opinion..as i am sure that it's rating maybe isn't only for show and my opinion might even be wrong and i am missing something... Now Then Man... anything just doesn't make sense to me ..in this novel... Mc was supposed to lose humanity..or something but actually other than race change there were no side effects.. he is just a typical mc.. is he some hero of justice ??? ,he helps everyone he sees bullied...and shit like that..?? i wouldn't have any problem with these settings if the mc wasn't shown to be like a broken guy...also that the author created such a drama about him losing humanity ...He ate the DEVIL'S FRUIT surely other than race change (that too only in name..) there must be some side effects.. Right??? NO.. Nothing ... sigh* Also....dude just how many skills,classes and abilities are there?? everyone's stats and mana also over 1000000s..like you can't even remember all of the skills and abilities...and other things (DON'T BLAME MY LOW IQ...ok... just don't.... its definitely not my problem..no jokes*) Many times you won't even know where the fight is happening...cuz mc and his new poke...i mean partner fight in an inn..that too a low class inn ..lot of cliches too..well that's not the main problem as they don't go far beyond by brain capacity many stupid things...like the mc wastes his time during the fight ice guy where he could gave died if ice guys sister interviened and his sister didn't even kill the mc...who i am sure will be a future problem for her...typical The joseph guy..could have caught the mc but didn't even chase..i mean ok he might have thought that the opposite party is only hostile to others not him... should atleast have captured him..or tried...( I don't think tht the mc could have escaped..due to a power level difference of what..over 900..cough* cough* i mean over 500+...levels? The Mc looks for slaves..which i thought he did because he can't trust any one but Noooo...he just freed them..to gain their TRUST He should have learned that he cannot trust others...cuz he got ditches by the king..and all....but no.. His.. childhood friend...well just forget her Ohhh Right....he has a system...which probably everyone forgot by now atleast i only remembered during writing ( AGAIN DON'T QUESTION MY IQ)....theres a lot but my head will...blast

Brain dead mc. Simp. low iq. Equivalent of a twelve year old with mental issues. Hypocritical to a fault. Contradicts himself. the list goes on. Overall he's a trashy character. He was bullied so what do you expect, all these so called bully victims who don't help themselves or at least try to are worse than their bullies and the people who watch and do nothing. What should one expect from someone with the strength of character to not help himself and wants everything on a diamond plate. He's trash, story is trash, everything is trash. It has some good points but ....the mc ruins it all.

I do not mean that this is a bad novel by any means, and you could say the author only used it for inspiration, but its just like a carbon copy of “The Rise Of The Sheild Hero” (on CrunchyRoll) Way to many similarities. but good novel dispite that. The low grade is only because or the unmistakable similaritys.

The best part of this novel was when I stopped reading and deleted this novel of my library.................................................

and a ff more or less in my opinion the beginning is a little more promising plus the 'level of power' and very strange the MC has several classes and can absorb the power of others but he is always weaker than the others and strange

Hey looked at the cover she looked like Raiden Mei (HOT) already sold the synopsis was good ,so don't dissopoint this humble me Author bro.

i dont give reviews normally, but this book is great. its one of the better ones of the "useless hero gets abandoned/thrown out/betrayed" genre. the story isnt going too fast, but also not too slow. all in all a great read.

King threw him out for being uselsss and he suddenly want to him back and apologize when he knew he had gotten power and he doesn't feel guilty and he wants NAOKA to fight for his continent i mean where is common sense well MC is useless without system so if he didn't have system so far it's good mc doesn't spare anyone he just kill them cant wait whare mc kills his way continent and destroy the continent and kill his mom dad and his freinds

Knee jerk review as of chapter 10. I'm all about the beginning few chapters of being high importance as that's what makes me keep reading. So spoilers are here but only up to chap 10. It's so far The Rising of the Shield Hero but edgier. Generic MC and backstory, the classic bullied by everyone, he's useless, powerless, etc, then gets crazy powers, and a system to boot. The writing can be repetitive and at times is so choppy it becomes tedious to read. World building is glossed over more or less as he "studied in the library" and knows most everything of importance. Level scaling, explanation of magic, just a general sense of what is "strong" to be able to compare to isn't their either in my opinion. He also levels up insanely quickly as it seems killing single wolves while he's way above their level still garners him a fair amount of exp. Which is also never mentioned or shown, he just levels up instead. So the sense of progression isn't there and it begs the question why not just cheese it and power level off of weak beings. Why even need a slave? He says he needs a meat Shield but he seems to be doing fine on his own. Even going out gaining like 3 levels with ease just after he gets the slave and this is while it's recovering. Overall it's pretty middle of the road, not really doing anything new or interesting. I may pick it up time to time to see if it gets better or maybe skip a few chapters ahead and deal with the lost information. Like I said the beginning is the most important to me as it sets all my expectations for the whole book and right now I'm just kinda "eh" 🤷‍♂️ Also I have no idea about updating stability, so freebie 5 stars lol.

Waste of time, I endured till 18 ch in hope It will get better but unfortunately..... Check for yourself if you patience enough. Nothing personal author-san but you have to creat a few books before starting posting something here.

Okay where do I start…. I dont really understand why this novel has such a high rating. I started reading it only because I generally like this kind of story and it had a high rating. Now after about 60 Chapters I’m dropping it out of the following reasons: - Fighting in general is just unrealistic. Take the first few chapters for example: Untrained, weak and stupid MC gets chased by a pack of wolves. He climbs on a tree, breaks off a few twigs, somehow magically sharpens them and then throws them like olympic champion and impales all enemies….Of course ! And stuff like that happens again and again. - The System/Powerscaling is just completely random. He basically just kills wolfs at first, which are like the weakest creatures, and suddenly he is the stongest guy in town. As if every other citizen never fought a single battle. Apparently the wolves are pretty abundant in this reason but only he leveled up significantly. I mean he is the hero but as far as I know, that just means he has no level cap. A System is a good way to set up a frame for your story. How do things work? What are you capable off and what do you need to do to get stronger. Doesn’t really work if your MC is playing by different rules! And dont even talk about the 400 ultimate skills he colllects left an right from every mop character that exists . - The MC is just annoying….he starts as a guy who has basically no self esteem, no real will to live and who doesnt stand up for himsel….that itself is not a bad thing, it’s just how the story is. Then he gives up his humanity and becomes a typical cliche villain who explains his evil plan, mocks his opponent for beeing week and then gets nearly killed in the next second . He just feels inconsistent….For example he just knows lots off stuff that he actually shouldn’t know just because he read a book for a few hours and in the next second he makes completely stupid decisions, like killing three guys and stealing their wagon afterwards. I mean if i kill someone the first thin i do is stealing their car and park it in my driveway 😩 Well if you can look over the things i wrote, than you might enjoy this novel but i stopped reading it and will probably not continue it. I’m no native speaker, if you find some mistakes, you are allowed to keep them 😉

The story has some good potential. Good idea even if its a bit cliche, its quite entertaining. The problem is the leveling system. The level range from the kingdom the hero was summoned at was so far away compared to other places like maroon city. There should have been a clear "Max level" if you will or a level range of people at the apex of strength residing in that world but what you see in the story is one kingdom having people 1-100 while other cities have people 4000 and up in levels. Its sounds so weird. If the author had given the level of usual knights or kings and court mages maybe then it would've been fine or if the level range would have been more logical.
