The Infernal Architect

Reincarnated into his past self, Tyler is given the chance to correct his biggest mistake. He rediscovers the Liber Infernus- an ancient tome penned by a fallen celestial. [By wielding this book, you gain access to the lost knowledge and inventions and oblige to being the new infernal architect! However, the price you must pay is your humanity. You must accept to turn into a demon and brace all its downsides. Do you consent?] Tyler stared calmly at the book as a smirk silently rose on his lips. "Yes!" Just that simple word was enough to change his fate for the better and stop the impending apocalypse from ever happening. Or was it? His fate will change, alright. But for the better? - I highly doubt that!

Heavy Sword Idiot

There was a time when Daren King had started quite a stir when he revealed his sword art to the world. It was during the Olympian Elite Academy tournament. The reason was- his sword art was a 6-star sword art ~ versatile redirect blade art. It was a sword art that utilized the enemy's attacks against them. It also worked for any bladed weapon. It was the ultimate defense and attack sword art. So a wave of greedy people were after it. They pressured Daren and ruined his image by branding him as a terrorist who worked with the Lilim. The league even offered him protection in exchange of information on where he got the 6-star art but he declined and went into hiding.

After staying in hiding for some time, the monster invasions became alot more frequent, he emerged and aided to fight them off. Even before those greedy people got the chance to hunt him down, the world plunged into chaos as the revivalists of the Lilim waged an all out war on humanity thus marking the start of the apocalypse. By fighting against the Lilim, he was able to establish his stand as hero and not a terrorist like it was claimed. His popularity sky rocketed because he was humanity's last hope.

Things such as 6-star arts were precious artifacts that could be found only by luck. Many powerful organizations set up miniature organizations to mine ruins or mountains for hidden spaces to obtain artifacts. Many have been found and any that contains a 6-star art is highly guarded by the said organization. So, Daren - a single individual without backing having a 6-star art made those organizations without one, chase after him.

However, what made them really crazy about Daren's art was the fact that it was among the best of 6-star art already discovered. If they could find out the location of the space he found, then it could bring their organization to bigger heights.

Although Daren never revealed the location of where he got his sword art, Tyler found out about it coincidentally by reading an old book in the public library. In a place where people pursued physical strength, books were slowly forgotten. Maybe if people still had a passion for reading ordinary books, they would have found out about the place sooner.

"Looks like I'll have to pay that place a visit,"

Tyler was currently dressed in his combat uniform looking at a wall of weapons. Everyone was already selecting their weapons while Elara stood aside. Only he remained staring at the wall blankly.

He hadn't noticed Elara's gaze turn to him.

"Aren't you going to pick a weapon?" her voice sounded cold and powerful, sending shivers down his spine.

"Ah yes! S-sorry!"

Tyler immediately moved towards the wall. His gaze constantly switched between two weapons unable to decide; a light Katana and a broad heavy sword that was almost as long as he was tall.

His head told him to go for the light Katana because it was what Daren King and Edwin Cloud had used in his past life. However, he felt himself drawn to the heavy sword more. Its thin hilt that embedded into the middle of the broad sword body made him want to grab it. He guessed that maybe it was demon nature to like heavy swords.

In the end, he ended up going for the heavy sword although all common sense told him not to.

However, the moment he removed it from the wall, he felt his whole body being pulled down by an enormous weight.

PENG!!!!!!

A loud metallic clash sounded and the earth rumbled. Tyler was bent in an awkward position with his hand pinned by the sword's hilt on the ground.

"This IDIOT!" Elara cussed in disbelief. The scene of Tyler trying to lift an object that was almost his body size was funny but she couldn't bring herself to laugh.

"Did you not see the Katana? Why did you choose that one?!"

"Naa, teach!" Tyler struggled to say as he tried to lift the sword but with no luck, "I-I like....t-thiis one!"

Eventually, he gave up and used every bit of his energy to pull the sword on the ground back to the line where the rest stood with their weapons staring at him like he was a fool.

Elara kept silent and bemusedly watched him drag the sword.

-Did he somehow figure out that it was a Rank B weapon and got too greedy? No, it can't be...his rank is too low to tell ranks of other objects.

-Even if he knew, he shouldn't have chosen that weapon. There is a reason it has never been chosen and that's the fact that it is extremely hard to learn. I'm sure he knows that.

She could see a determination in his eyes as if he didn't regret choosing the gigantic weapon.

She sighed helplessly before starting the lecture.

"By now, all of you know how to use mana. You already know what attributes you possess and which manner particle to use for your attribute externally. Unfortunately, as you cultivate mana, your body can't filter out the other mana particles. This means the amount of your attributed mana particles is considerably lower compared to the non-attributed mana particles.

So, you can only use your attribute power externally for only a short time. What do we do with the non-attributed mana particles? It's simple, we use them inside our bodies to execute universal skills with weapons or to increase our physical attributes temporarily. That way we don't waste anything. All mana becomes useful!

From now on, you are going to learn or perfect you're internal mana usage. For now, we are going to focus on temporarily increasing a physical attribute. Shall we begin!"

And so the first lesson in the Academy began. Elara moved from person to person instructed them on how to use the mana internally then left them to practice it with their weapons.

When she was done, she stood at the side and watched every single one of them try out their weapons. Assured that everyone had mastered the basics of wielding mana internally, her gaze turned to the two people she had to keep an eye on- Tyler Vonstriek and Daren King.

Daren swang his light long Katana elegantly drawing curves in the air. He looked like he already possessed a sword art and was practicing it.

As for Tyler, he was still struggling to lift the heavy sword. Those who were resting had even chosen to make him a source of their entertainment, guessing how many times he had farted in that position just trying to lift the sword.

Although he was being laughed at, Tyler did not shy away in the slightest.

"Y- you can all laugh now!.....B...But let's see who will be laughing w-w-when I can finally swing this sword!"

His gaze shifted to Aurora to see whether she was also laughing at him. However, she was also dealing with her problem. She was being bullied again by those racists!

Tyler's gaze turned several shades darker and unknowingly, he had managed to slightly lift the sword's hilt.

"Kill them!"

"Make them suffer!"

"Cut off their limbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"And feed their heads to the hounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The multiple sinister whispers of his voice sounded inside his head as his anger rose to a deadly level!

"Yes, I WILL!!!!" He dropped the hilt and clenched his fist to the point his knuckles turned white!

I know it's kind of weird that he got protective over a girl he barely knew. Well, Aurora reminds Tyler of Chloe so his instincts kick in when he sees her being bullied.
