Thea Challenge

Ava woke up and felt a heavy weight on her, she realized that she and Logan had slept together on the same bed, and he was holding her. Ava tried to remove Logan hands on her waist but instead he held her even more tightly, after much trying with no success, she decided to let it be. Ava remember how she was nervous last night, she thought, she and Logan would consummate their marriage, but after waiting for him for a while, she fell asleep.

Ava was lost in her thought when she heard a deep voice saying "What are you thinking of?"

Ava heard Logan voice and became nervous, how could she tell him she was thinking of them consummating their marriage, just the thought of it made her face red.

Logan saw his wife blushing and wonder what she was thinking about, but seeing his wife in that state made him realized how cute Ava actually is.

Ava was still in thought when she felt a soft sensation on her cheek before it transferred to her lips, and she realized that once again Logan was kissing her, she closed her eyes and enjoyed the feel of his mouth on hers and she wondered if they were going to consummate their marriage at this moment, but a knock on the door destroyed the moment.

Logan groaned angrily and asked "What is it?"

"You told me to remind you about your visit to the Crescent pack." Jack said politely.

"I'm busy Jack, remind me later" Ava blushed hearing the words of Logan.

"I would have reminded you later, if you haven't already promised Alpha Adrian that you will be there at his ceremony."

Logan groaned in displeasure and said "Give me twenty minutes to get ready." He looked at Ava and said to her softly "I have some business with the Crescent pack, but don't worry, I promise I will be back early."

Ava just nodded her head and watched as he got up from the bed to prepare for his journey.

After Logan left, Ava went down for breakfast and saw Brian eating and laughing with a man she did not recognize, when Brian saw her, he stood up and gave a slight bow and said teasingly "How was your night?"

"How could you ask such a sensitive question to our Luna" The mysterious man said then he turned to Ava and introduced himself "My name is Davis, the pack doctor"

Ava ignored Brian and focus her attention on Davis "It's nice to meet you but where are the other members of the pack?" Ava noticed that the pack house looked empty again, she couldn't even find Hilda.

"They are all in the field sparring with each other." Brian answer with a bored tune.

"Can I watch?" Ava asked excitedly.

"Of course you can watch, you are now the Luna of this pack, you can do whatever you want without asking" Davis answered her with a smile.

Brian had a worried look on his face, he knew Thea was also at the field, he just hope she does not cause any trouble.

Ava was excited when she got to field, she saw two people sparring together with a wood, it was a man and a woman. She watched as the woman disarmed the wood from the man and pointed hers to his neck, then the man raise his hands in surrender. Ava thought the woman was very cool, after all she has never since a woman that fights like that.

"Who's is next?" The woman asked, waiting for someone to challenge her and when someone else came up to accept her challenge, Ava met her eyes and felt strange when the woman gave her a mocking smile.

"Why don't I spar with our Luna" The woman said.

Ava felt Brian stiffened beside her before he said "Thea, behave yourself"

"Why? I believe everyone here would like to know if our dear Luna is capable of protecting us in times of danger. Do you really think we all accept a weak human as our Luna, I am the best female warrior of the Crystal pack and I should have been Logan mate" Thea said in front of everyone as she stared at Ava with deep hatred.

Ava looked at everyone and realized that, they all silently agreed with her. She felt hurt thinking that Logan and Thea were having an affair before she married him, but more than that she felt the desire to show this She-Wolf her place.

"So, are you challenging me, your Luna?"

"Yes I am challenging you, and a weak human like you can never been my Luna." Thea said in anger.

"If you win I will step down from the position of Luna and leave Logan life for good, but if I win, you will apologize to me in front of everyone and you will leave this pack and spend the rest of your life as a rogue. Do you agree to this terms" Ava said with a look of determination and an authoritative voice.

Thea was shocked by Ava terms but she knew that Ava would never be able to defeat her, after all she is the best female warrior in the pack, she thought if Ava relinquish her right as Luna, then she will finally be able to have Logan and become the new Luna of the Crystal pack, with that thought in mind Thea said "I agree"

Brian could not believe what was going on, Logan would definitely kill him if he lets any harm happen to Ava, he looked at Ava anxiously and said "You don't really have to do this. Ava you are only human, the difference between your strength and that of Thea is massive. Why are you really doing this, you could have just ignored her"

"And allow myself to be humiliated in front of all them. I hate lots of things Brian and insubordination is definitely one of them." Ava said as she took the wood for sparring and then she went forward with the wood. The truth is deep within her Ava was nervous, even though she has learnt a little about how to fight those lessons were not given to her inorder to fight a werewolf.

Ava was pushed backward by the force of Thea wood. Thea kept coming on to Ava aggressively without giving her a chance to fight back, so Ava could only defend herself. When Ava saw her opportunity to strike back, she used the sharp edge of her wood to attack Thea and this left a mark on Thea face.

Thea never expected the attack, when she touched her face and saw blood on her hands, she grew angry about the fact that a mere human injured her. Thea anger made her to lose her rationality, so she transform into a big brown wolf and attack Ava.

When Ava saw the wolf, she was truly scared. Infact she thought she was going to die but she compose herself. She didn't want anyone to see her fear or looked down on her because of it.

Thea wolf attack Ava, and held her down with her sharp claws.

Ava felt immense pain when those claws dig into her shoulders but she gathered every shred of strength in her, bought her left leg closer to her and collected the knife she had hidden in her boot and used it to stab the left eye of Thea wolf.

The wolf groan in pain and became restless and weaker, then Thea transform back to her human and started screaming.

Ava pushed Thea away from her and stood up, she picked up her cloak she left on the floor before the fight and used it to cover Thea nakedness and as she stared at Thea helplessness, she remembered the visit she had with her godmother before coming to the Crystal pack.

FLASHBACK

Ava looked at her godmother in disbelief and asked "Who gives a knife as wedding a present, godmother?"

Serefina gave a soft smile and said "Ava this is not just any knife, this knife that I have given to you is made of wolf bane."

"Wolf bane? What is that?" Ava asked looking confused.

"Wolf bane is the weakness of werewolves and they become weaken by it. Now do you see how valuable my gift is to you, with that knife, you would be able to protect yourself from those dangerous werewolf." Serefina said with a smile on her face.

"Your gift is the best godmother. Thank you so much. But don't forget what I told you, I really think Logan is different, maybe you can give him a chance. Please godmother for my sake"

"Yes, I will try, for your sake"

PRESENT

Ava never expected to use the weapon her godmother gave her so soon. As she stared at Thea helpless form she said with no emotions in her voice "The match is over and I won. Given the fact that you are wounded, Davis will attend to you, but nevertheless you have three days to leave this pack." And then Ava stared at the others coldly and asked "Any objection?" And when no one objected to her decision, she left the field without turning back.
