Chapter 9: Dinner

The four of them arrived at the dining room, two in front and two behind.

Ruby Carter turned back provocatively and looked at Helen Blair, before sidling up to Sebastian Carter in front of Helen and raising her head to coquettishly say, "Uncle, your house is so big and beautiful!"

Sebastian Carter looked at his daughter's tender, flower-like face and smiled indulgently. Ruby was his first child. Not only was she beautiful, but she was also intelligent and lively, and excelled academically.
