Chapter 10: Uncle Aaron

If there was one person in this world that Helen Blair could completely trust, it would be Aaron Gilbert, Uncle Aaron.

"Uncle Aaron, Uncle Aaron..." Helen clenched the phone, her voice choked with emotion. The excitement in her heart was beyond description.

It had been far too long since she had heard Uncle Aaron's voice, so long that he had begun to fade from her dreams.

"I just got back from a business trip to Neovermont, and I wanted to come to see you right after getting off the plane. But unfortunately, Uncle Aaron is old and as soon as I returned home and touched the bed, I fell asleep and didn't wake up until just now!... Helen, what's wrong with your voice? What happened?"

"No, nothing!" Helen wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes and did her best to calm her voice, "I haven't seen Uncle Aaron for a few days, and I miss him!"

The voice on the phone was hearty and doting, "Come to Uncle Aaron's house tomorrow, and I have a gift for you!"
