"This here, is the Kai. They are a space faring race." Connor pointed at the holographic display which was currently showing off the figure of a race that resembled humans. Everything about them looked human except for the third eye that was firmly fixed in their forehead.
A Second image popped up that depicted the third eye open. The body of the Kai that was depicted also looked vastly more different. It's muscles bulged and swelled up, looking as if they were going to pop, and all its eyes had turned red.
After examining the image for a couple more minutes, Rowan spoke out, "Do they not have a home planet?" He had picked up on Connor's words, that the Kai were a space faring race.
"They do, but they do not care too much about it after they leave. They have a whole star system to their name, though. Upon reaching adulthood, most of the Kai leave their home planets and take to the stars, choosing to become traders or mercenaries. They are mostly peaceful, but if you provoke them, their retaliation can be quite vicious. You should also keep in mind that commoner Kai can match up to the Barons of most races. They are strong, but they are not one of the higher races." Connor explained.
"Oh, that's pretty strong. I wonder if I can take one down." Rowan looked intrigued.
"Haha, I wonder too." Connor laughed and flicked the holograph. It switched to another race.
"This is the Ganai. They are a race of aggressive people. They mostly seek to conquer, increase the territory under their name, and breed so that they can raise more soldiers." Connor gave a short description. The holograph showed them an image of a four armed person, with dark skin, and a single horn in the middle oh his head.
"What? This is allowed?" Rowan was taken aback. The Ganai almost sounded like the Xenon, but developed in a different direction.
"Well, they are a rather powerful higher race. They have mostly slowed down, and only attack those that provoke them, but still, there is not much one can do about it if you think about it. The Xenon were much more aggressive and did not care about any other higher race. The Ganai, however, are careful not to step on the toes of any of the other higher races, so they just turn a blind eye to them."
"Damn. I guess there are some privileges that come with being a higher race. No one wants to touch them if it doesn't affect them. If a lower race tries to do what they do, then they are sure to be met with a lot of resistance, and possible interference from a higher race." Rowan whistled as he heard the reason why no one bothered to pry on the matters concerning the Ganai expansion.
The boys browsed through the information of a few more races before coming across one of the higher races that was much more widespread. In fact, there were quite a number of them amongst the population of Henan!
"Humans." Rowan breathed out, his mind drifting back to Amelia, the girl he had met on the aircraft that brought them to the organization's headquarters.
"The humans are a very widespread race. Their numbers are among the highest of the higher races, and while their talents are a bit more average compared to the others, their numbers make up for the shortfall." Connor read out the first line of information that was provided alongside the image of a human man.
"The humans were not a higher race until a couple centuries ago, when they underwent a sudden meteoric rise. Their had a population explosion, and their tech base suddenly underwent a revolution, allowing them to explore the stars away from their home planet. After that, they grew like no other race, fought for their place in the universe, and earned the title of a higher race."
The two boys looked impressed as they read up on information concerning humans. The talents of a human was fairly average at best, and although they had quite a few geniuses among their uncountable numbers. The human race was one of the leading races when it came to technological advancement, and through their many breakthroughs, they had been able to create weapons and battleships that could do battle with powerful individuals.
"Wait, what? Humans have built battleships that can do battle with King Class sorts? Isn't that cheating?!" Even Rowan, who usually kept his calm in most situations, was surprised.
There were seven rankings of power that were known in the universe. They went up from Baron, to Viscount, Earl, Marquise, Duke, King, and Deified. Each and every one of these levels of power were something that commoners greatly admired, and even the lower leveled Nobles admired the higher leveled ones.
From the Earl Class, the power of the Noble grew exponentially, meaning that an Earl was many times stronger than a Viscount. This trend kept on going the higher one went, up to the point where the gap between classes could only be crossed on special occasions.
A King class powerhouse was so powerful, that a single strike could destroy an entire planet! That was how scary these monsters were!
For a battleship that was created entirely through technology to be able to compete with that was no easy feat. And the humans had a lot of them! That was like having an entire army of King class elites that could steamroll over multiple lower races that did not even have a single King Class elite to their name!
Humanity's ingenuity was truly unique.
While they were not the only ones to have reached that level of power, it had to be noted that humanity was not a human race until two centuries ago. That just showcased how quickly these underdogs managed to grow into such a powerful behemoth.
"Wow... They sound much scarier than I thought..."
Our boys are learning more about the other races. They grow up so fast... How long do you guys think it will take before an outer space arc comes around?
