Liddy vs Dessy bear

Destiny felt a very powerful aura burst out from Lida, and it did well enough to distract him and stop him from attacking effectively.

Unable to cope with the sudden pressure emanating from Lida, Destiny passed the ball to Asher.

But Lida suddenly flashed and he was chasing after the ball speedily.

Asher managed to get to the ball first, in courtesy of his clock view. But that didn't mean Lida was going to let him have a clean touch.

Lida stretched his leg towards the ball and the pass was redirected, now going to no one in particular.

Crap! Neon!

Asher shouted in panic, he had just lost the possession and could only rely on his teammate closest to the ball.

Neon managed to get a hold on the ball, but Lida was in front of him again.

Shit! Get away from me!

Neon shouted as he passed the ball to Destiny, annoyed by Lisa's persistence.

Lida immediately faced Destiny. Since Lida had covered his area, no one had taken even a step closer to the penalty box.

Destiny had managed to calm himself and cope with the immense pressure that Lida was putting on all of them.

Destiny smirked. Heh! How do you do now? The last time, I was taken by surprise, so how about a round two?

Although Destiny sounded a lot cocky, in truth, he wasn't that confident.

Lida had been a junior to Destiny's brother and they had both played together in middle school. Lida probably didn't know that Destiny was the brother to Xavi, the striker he had so must loved.

As at that time, when Destiny's brother was only in his second year in middle school, Lida was in his first year. Destiny had yet to enter middle school too.

Lida and Destiny's brother often did a one on one, which was aimed at improving The latter's dribbling and one on one skills.

Destiny had often watched them too, and he always felt so thrilled and amazed to see Lida stop his brother multiple times.

But somehow, growing up and watching Lida, he had become a way better striker than his brother with even more impressive dribbling skills, moreover Lida seemed to have dropped considerable form. With his new found pride, Destiny he never thought it wise to introduce himself to Lida, and Lida on his part, couldn't recognize them child whom he had last seen when he was barely a toddler still in grade school.

So now seeing Lida like this, this was a lot more like the Lida he remembered.

Lida returned the smile. Yeah, proud horse. I'm ready.

Ok, here we go!

Destiny immediately started with scissors legs, then he used an elastico to create a little distance that Lida covered immediately.

Taking everyone by surprise, Destiny reversed everything. Lida couldn't help but feel shocked and amazed at the excellent skill this first year was exhibiting.

Destiny grinned. C'mon now, liddy. There's no time to be feeling me!

Destiny quickly did a crossover and Lida was quick falling to his knees.

One word repeated in his head as he fell slowly.

Liddy….

There is only person that ever calls me that…

…And it's his younger brother…

A quick flashback of Destiny when his was younger and all the one on ones with Destiny's brother flashed in mind.

Lida's surprise gave way for a smile to fill his face. So it was you…

Lida's knees suddenly straightened and he did a backflip that took him far enough to land in front of Destiny.

Destiny was visiblly stunned by that acrobatic play.

Destiny furrowed his brows as he spoke. So that wasn't enough huh? I guess Liddy is still as strong as ever.

Lida smirked. Yeah, certainly wasn't. You really have grown, and you're now certainly better than your brother, Dessy bear.

Destiny's eyes twitched almost audibly.

When he was in grade school, he used to love the name, Dessy bear. Especially when Lida rubbed his head fondly.

But now, the name irritated him, especially when it was being called by a person that he once used to to respect. A person that he had always hoped would be better than him.

Lida used to hand to gesture for Destiny to bring it on.

C'mon, Dessy. I couldn't recognize you at all, so come. Come let me do your brother a favour and beat that proud smirk off your face!
