"I brought you pie. We can eat as we talk. I really want to speak with you, Brady." She forces her feet to move towards the kitchen and place the homemade pie prepared by J on the table. She turns towards the hallway, watching closely at Brady's closed room door, "Isn't he home? If he wasn't, he would have locked the front door." She mutters to herself.
She steps closer to the well-lighted hallway, "Brady? Please come out. I'm sorry for everything. I just want to talk."
When there is no answer, she decides to burst his room open but something laying on the floor of the kitchen catches her eye. She snaps her head to where the minifridge is to find that same hockey stick rested against it. She begins taking cautious steps towards the hockey stick as fear sinks into her. Under the bright lights in the kitchen, she can see the red stain on the hockey stick clearly now.
