The tree crashed to the ground, smoothly cleaved by Austin's noodle-like flame as if its thick surface was made of paper.

"Wahahha!"

Austin suddenly burst out laughing. He looked fondly at his armored middle finger as if he were staring at his lover. 

"From this moment onward," he declared with enthusiasm, "you shall be known as Golden Finger!"

"Just a heads up, in case you missed it, that armor is not gold but silver," 

"Additionally, aren't you getting ahead of yourself with all this excitement? You haven't even thought about whether these ability changes come with a price." Eris reminded curtly.

"Ah?" Austin's laughter came to an abrupt halt as he stared at Eris, bewildered.

"If this mystical gear was really that powerful, why do you think the murloc I just slayed never even considered using it?" Eris's reminder hit Austin like a bucket of cold water, instantly dousing his excitement
