The Goddess of Time is My Wife

[WSA 2024 entry, support the story with stones and comments!] (Any depiction or semblance to real life is purely coincidental) In the metropolitan city Kata where corruption is rampant, violence is like breakfast and death is a happy ending for the uninspired overworked citizens, Andrew is stuck in his own past and he must relive his life as an eighteen year old who has just entered college. Average in looks, average in height, average in studies, barely enough money to live by, he traverses the diplomatically cunning problems that comes with entering a prestigious college, haphazardly compromising with his ethics that restricted him to a lawful life. The only thing stopping him from falling prey to the darkness of society is his innate talent to cultivate time. But what happens when his string of morality is cut due to a tragic incident? A strong and extreme desire for revenge brews, slowly, as it corrupts him to become a villain. A villain who will use all the time of the world only on himself now. ----------------------------------------------- "You're still far too weak to challenge him." The blue haired beauty looked down at Andrew. "Give up, you'll never beat him." "And if I do?" "Then I'll marry you." She laughed heartily. ---------------------------------------------- None of my works are dropped, and I'll update all of them. But! Like a particular series and want me to update it more than the others? Just let me know in the comments!

A Ruthless Killer (2)

Entering the new space-like area, Andrew paused the monster motionless and looked around. It was basically outer space, and everything about it felt eerie, vast and endless.

"Hah…" He had no difficulties in breathing and his heart rate was also normal.

"Aj…" He tried walking on the emptiness using his technique and found out quickly that it was possible.

So he started walking and searched around.

After traversing the blankness for a long distance, he found a similar portal-like distortion opening up infront of him.

He looked at the opening with caution, but something very intriguing inside quickly caught his attention.

The place inside was also a modern city, however, it appeared to be much more well developed than Kata.

And in the centre of his gaze, Andrew saw two people engaging in a deadly duel.

A hooded tall man, visibly muscular, was fighting in the rain. His hands were burning with fire and his opponent was a stunning woman, with silky dark green hair, but she wasn't using anything other than her fists. The guy's martial techniques seemed refined and his battle prowess, at first glance, was enough to impress Andrew. They were both fighting equally, with no one appearing superior.

Andrew thought of Anastasia as he looked at the two, but suddenly, the hooded man started to outplay the girl. He countered all her attacks with perfection and wrecked her, beat her up mercilessly, and began to dominate her with considerable power.

"Did your mother never teach you any manners, child?"

Goosebumps rose out of Andrew's skin, his body went cold, and his entire mind got filled with a deeply penetrating fear of the unknown.

He turned around slowly to look at the person who had just spoken with a voice so broken, it was impossible to discern their gender.

A woman, far taller than Andrew, clad in deep black darkness, was staring at him.

Her body had a glowing red outline, which separated her existence from the surroundings to Andrew's eyes. Her white face was a glitchy mess which seemed to be displaced to the lower right side, and it was fading and glitching away like a corrupted pixel picture. Only her white colored neck was visible down below, and it was visible upto a small part of her upper chest.

As soon as Andrew fully looked at that woman, a red burning room background appeared behind her.

Then the background began to spin all around him, and just looking at it made his head spin furiously.

"Ugh.." Andrew collapsed down on one of his knees. He used his hand to support himself but he couldn't lift his head up to look at that woman no matter how much he tried. His ear drums were banging and his mouth felt severely dry.

"He made a mistake."

A familiar voice echoed behind Andrew and soon he felt a familiar hand on his shoulder.

"Surely that's forgivable."

Andrew peeked at the newcomer, and he was surprised to see that it was none other than Ella. Ella, the girl whom he had met at the ground before he met Anastasia for the first time.

"Why are you here?" Andrew asked as he looked up at Ella standing beside him.

"Very good question." The dark clad woman spoke.

"Ugh.." Andrew's head felt heavier and he struggled to look straight.

"Answer or you'll die." Ella softly told him, as she smiled and looked towards the mysterious dark woman.

Andrew understood that Ella wasn't joking. He knew answering his own question was comical but he decided to play safe, and thus, he spoke half-truth.

"I'm here looking for a woman." He said as he stared down towards his feet.

"Stand." The unknown woman ordered.

Andrew felt all the gravity pushing down on his existence dissipate, and he used both his hands to stand up.

He was then mesmerized by the two black pupils staring at him which were present inside that glitchy face.

"I'll tell you where Anastasia is."

Andrew's eyes widened. His anger returned and his blood started to boil again immediately when he heard Anastasia's name.

"He can't fight him. He's still too weak." Ella spoke this time.

Andrew confusedly looked at Ella since he was unable to follow, but Ella quickly explained everything to him.

"She wants you to fight her warrior in exchange for that information."

"I will." Andrew quickly looked back towards that woman and answered.

"Oe, did you not hear what I said?" Ella pulled his ear.

"Ouch ouch." Andrew held her hand and softly whispered to her. "Why can't I?"

"You're still far too weak to challenge him." Ella twisted her ear and brought his lips closer to hers. "Do you hear? Give up, you'll never beat him."

"And if I do?"

Confidence, Andrew believes, is the key to success-

"Then I'll marry you." Ella smiled again and let go of his ear.

No sooner did Ella let go of him, did the dark mysterious woman disappear.

And just then, a hand burst out of the space time distortion which Andrew was originally peeking into.

"Fight hard." Ella giggled and hopped backwards.

The entire outer space surrounding Andrew transformed into that headache inducing red burning room of fire. He had suddenly gone from an endless cold darkness to a small hot red enclosed space.

With no else except Andrew inside, the hand fully came out of the portal, and Andrew finally witnessed who his opponent was.

Super tall, a mix of muscles and lean, excessively dominating aura, this hooded man spoke only danger.

Finally the man opened his hood, lowered his face mask, and then took off his shades.

A black haired monster of a good looking hunk, this guy with sharp unmoving blue eyes and black sclera glared at Andrew with a stoic, expressionless gaze.

"Aj." Andrew did his routine and tried to assess the guy's strength.

He wanted to check if he is also like Anastasia, whether he could fight Andrew's techniques.

The man didn't move an inch. From the moment he came out and took off his mask, he'd been acting like a statue.

"Goto." Andrew made the man's time move backwards and his time forward. "Kal."

He then started to slowly walk towards him. Without any hostile movements, he tried to deceive his enemy with a roughly prepared plan. His intention was to incapacitate him, and then find out Anastasia's location.

However, the moment he reached close to him, the man gently opened his lips.

"Do you really say the name of your techniques every time?"

Andrew: ugh..
