As silence continued to engulf the entire dining table, Kaitlyn secretly eyed her so called 'sisters'. By the looks of it, this so called sisters of her does have the looks, well, average looks, to be precise. They might have looks but, it was only ordinary, not like Catherine's. Maybe that's the reason why they also despise her? It's not like she care since she was also a beauty in her past life. But some thing seems odd.
Taking a big bite on her steak, she quickly averted her eyes and looked at Agatha.
"Mother."
'Ugh, saying mother to you feels disgusting'
Kaitlyn called out to Agatha as if she is someone who she doesn't know. Cold and distant.
Agatha looked at Kaitlyn and beamed a smile, "Yes dear?" She said and set her eating utensils down.
Kaitlyn forced a small smile before checking out the daughters then back to the mother.
"When did you meet dad?" She said and settled her eyes at Agatha.
"About a year ago. Why?" Agatha said and gave a confused look.
"Nothing. I want to know if you were engaged with some activities with my dad a long time ago," Kaitlyn straight forwardly asked the question that made Agatha choke on the water she was sipping.
"That is quite a heavy topic dear. Ehem, but yes I've been together with your dad a long time ago," She said while wiping her mouth with napkin.
Hmm?
Somethings suspicious.
Seeing as Jenneth and Livia we're done eating, Kaitlyn leisurely ordered the servants, "Please escort my lovely sisters to the garden to play. I want to have a private conversation with my dear mom," she said while giving them an innocent look.
The servants bowed and did what she said. They quickly escorted the two girls and left the dining room. The room was now quiet with just the two of them. Kaitlyn's eyes became sharp as an eagle as soon as all the servants left the room.
"My dear mother, I want to ask you a few questions. If I may?" She said maintaining an innocent look but her eyes said so otherwise.
Agatha shifted on her chair before composing her self and smiled, "Go ahead," she said and rested her head on her palm.
"How long have you been together with my father?"
Agatha smiles as if Kaitlyn was interested in the romance story with her father. She cleared her throat before saying, "When I first met your father, he was depressed because of your mothers loss. A year later when your mother died, I met your father at a friends party, we started seeing each other after that."
Oh?
"I know I may be 13, but have you slept with my father? I know I may be asking you a silly question, but I'm just wondering since the servants here in this household kept on saying that you slept with my father? What does that mean?" Kaitlyn's eyes glimmered innocently as she talked. She knew that the previous owner of the body was as innocent as a squirrel.
Agatha's face began to scrunch a little by hearing Kaitlyns odd question and of course it made her uncomfortable. For a 13 year old girl old girl that has yet to know the basic fundamentals of how human reproduces, it may seem odd. The reason is because the previous owner of the body kept on declining on learning how humans reproduce.
"Uh..... You don't have to know what slept mean... in-in another meaning.... heh..... but we did do some..... things"
Looking at Agatha's unsure and anxious face, Kaitlyn's suspicions grew bigger. From her memory, Catherine's dad cherished her mother dearly, her father even promised to her mother that even if she died, he won't marry a woman or even sleep with them. Now this woman in front of her suddenly appeared and claimed that she was pregnant with my father's child.
A long silence came later, Kaitlyn knew that Melrich is a man of virtue, if someone claimed and has sufficient evidence that a child was his, he would not abandon it easily. She knew that after her mother died, her father has NEVER slept with women again. Agatha must've really slept with her if he actually accepted her in their household.
"Mother you said about meeting dad in a party?" Kaitlyn's eyes went back to Agatha's eyes.
"Yes, we met there, at that time he was so depressed that he drunk quite a lot. I could remember his sorrowful face," Agatha said letting out her crocodile tears. The best actress ever, maybe if she was in her time, she would win the Oscar award for the best female actress.
Of course Kaitlyn won't back down with her crappy acting, she had always did this to manipulate everyone around her.
"I see," she said wiping a fake tear that was coming out of her eyes, "my father must've been really lucky meeting a woman like you, mother," she said, her voice raspy.
'Yeah, MOTHER. My father must've been really stupid to look at a woman like you'
Agatha continued to wipe her tears, she sniffed her nose and fanned her face with her hand.
'Ugh, too dramatic'
"Haha, I know right? I'm glad that he has finally moved on,"She said and gave a FAKE weak smile.
Kaitlyn also gave a fake weak smile. She wiped her fake tears and said, "I'll be going first, mother. I have things to take care off,"
'And by things I mean, making a plan to decapitate you and your two daughters'
Kaitlyn stood up from her seat and proceeded to walk out.
She quickly made a slight glance to Agatha and smiled at her.
'Things are about to be exciting, mother'
