Chapter 7

The next day arrived, a maid knocked on her room saying she will be dressing her up for the day. Kaitlyn approved and listened to whatever the maid told her to do.

After dressing up, she walked downstairs to have breakfast with her father, only to see Melrich sitting on the sofa chatting with some guest's.

Noticing a person coming down the stairs, Melrich swept his gaze to see his daughter Catherine in a gorgeous blue dress with some flowers and birds embroidery, making her elegant and refined, "Good morning, Catherine."

Kaitlyn looked at her father's perfectly sculpted face and said, "Good morning father," she replied back with a small smile.

"Come have a seat."

Kaitlyn nodded and sat beside her father's side, "You already know lady Agatha right? This is her daughter Livia and Jenneth," father introduced her to two children. Livia has brown eyes and brown hair while Jenneth has black eyes and has a dirty blonde hair. Their faces doesn't even fit the luxurious dresses they are wearing, much less suit them.

"Hello, my names Catherine. I will be your older sister from now on, I will do my best to take both of you with care," Kaitlyn said while flashing them a fake smile.

"Likewise Lady Catherine," Livia and Jenneth said, both staring at Kaitlyn as if she was something to be cautious about.

"Quit with the formalities, you can call me big sister all you want," Kaitlyn said and stared back at them making them look away.

"W-Why don't we all eat together? We came here early in the morning that we didn't eat breakfast," Agatha said trying to break the cold tension between Kaitlyn, Livia and Jenneth.

"Sure, I also haven't eaten. Let's go to the dining room together, let me lead the way. Father has a lot of things to do so he probably has eaten already, right father?," Kaitlyn looked at her father's face with a small smile on her face.

"Yes, I have. Then I shall put them under your care for now," Melrich said and stood up, "Before that, I will be going on a trip for 2 weeks. I'll be leaving now once I get my things on my office," Melrich added and continued to walk towards his office leaving only the four of them in an awkward situation.

Kaitlyn's lips were beginning to get stiff with all the smiling, so she elegantly stood up and said, "Please follow me," she pointed towards the dining room.

When all of them were inside the dining room, a butler pulled a chair for Kaitlyn, she sat down and thanked the butler. Where as the three of them were ignored, not even the maids and other butlers in-waiting batted an eye on them. They just stood there not moving an inch.

"Why aren't you sitting? Don't want to eat?" Kaitlyn innocently said while looking at them with her sparkling ruby eyes.

The three of them quickly realized they are in a daze and pulled out a chair for themselves. This was exceptionally embarrassing as they understood what kind of treatment they we're receiving towards the Butler's and maid's. They knew when a butler pulls out a chair for a lady, they regarded them as someone who was important, but when being ignored like what they did to them, they we're regarded as a nobody to the whole household. Even guest's we're treated with more manner's, but them? They we're treated as nothing!

"Ah! Sorry about the servants mannerism in this household. Our servants are trained to first know the persons background story before treating them with what the person wanted to be treated," Kaitlyn said apologetically with a hint of disdain. Of course she tried to make it look like as if she was at fault, but deep down in heart she was cursing at them while maintaining a poised manner. You don't know how hard it is for her to maintain a wicked smile trying to appear on her face.

"Haha, it's okay. I understand that. We are still new here, so of course it is normal for them to not recognize us. Plus, I'm your mother now, so I'll just forgive you. Besides, it's not even your fault to begin with," Agatha said and returned her apologetic look with a smile. Under the table, her hands were trembling because of the embarrassment that it turned pale. Her veins we're starting to pop out from her forehead.

'B*tch, how dare you embarrass me!!!'

The dining table was extremely tense that by just eating there, you can't even swallow your saliva or even your food.
