Night came to the Nakashima household and while Isamu, Hanako and Kaede went to sleep I stayed awake deciding to keep an eye on their home, with the failure of the Nakiri Onmyōji attack on Kaede early in the day I was sure the Nakiri would at least attempt a second attack.

So tonight I stay on top of the house's rooftop with my eyes closed and using Aura Sense to keep an eye on the entire area of the Nakashima household, of course I had my Ghost Pokémon patrolling the area as well while being invisible.

Throughout the day while spending my time with the Nakashima made me understand one thing, they were honestly good people and that made me want to protect them all.

Especially Kaede who most of the time is a very cheerful and quite girl, a contradiction I know but that's how I see her.

She usually was quiet but always playing and smiling with the Pokémon I summoned to keep an eye on her, even right now I can see her in her room asleep with Umbreon and Espeon sleeping on her bed and Mismagius keeping and eye on her room from the shadows.

So I wanted to keep her safe, she already had to live through some hard times because of foolish and greedy people who wanted her dead just because she was born and to think that this people think of her as a abomination when they're the ones acting like monsters pisses me off.

Suddenly I saw a bunch of energy signatures appear out of nowhere around the walls of the house with my Aura Sense but the amount that appeared made frown in confusion.

There are four groups of five or six energy signatures in front of each wall so they're planning a big attack, foolish and quite reckless of them or perhaps they're over confident with their abilities who knows?.

No matter, they're not going to be able to do anything tonight and I certainly won't be allowing them to even stepped into the Nakashima household *Gengar, Froslass, Chandelure and Mimikyu we have intruders by the four walls surrounding the house... do not even let them touch the wall but let one live, I have some questions for them*.

I got their name cries as a response and saw them move out towards the enemies while I was keeping an eye on everything with Aura Sense, I snapped my fingers and raised a ward to both protect the house and prevent any noise from coming inside and waking up the Nakashima.

Gengar watched as five Onmyōji talked amongst themselves as they were preparing something, to Gengar it sort seemed like one of those ritual Rean had described before so not wanting to allow whatever they were preparing to do be completed.

Gengar attacked starting with the one chanting something and who seemed to be gathering energy, so the Ghost and Poison type Pokémon suddenly appeared from behind the chanting Onmyōji and used Poison Jab to hit him on the back of the head.

Not only was the Onmyōji's head sent flying off his shoulders but it also melted mid air thanks to the highly toxic Poison Type attack from Gengar, which also alerted the rest of the Onmyōji who gasped in shock not expecting to be attacked.

They immediately reacted and clapped their hands, they chanted something short that Gengar didn't understand and suddenly threw their open hands towards him.

The ground shook and the multiple jagged stone pillars shot up from underneath Gengar and stabbed onto his body, the Onmyōji grinned in satisfaction but that small glimmer of hope they got disappeared when Gengar just cackle and walked away from the jagged stone completely unharmed by the attack.

The Onmyōji gaped at they watched and began to panic but before they could even take a step Gengar's eyes glowed red and used Hypnosis, three of the Onmyōji fell to the ground completely sound asleep while the other two were able to turn around quickly enough to avoid looking at Gengar's eyes.

They immediately tried to run away but Gengar tripped them with his tongue and took off flying until he was above the down Onmyōji and then shot both of them with a twin Sludge Bomb from each claw.

Both Poison types attacks crashed into the panicking Onmyōji and as their body melted and was destroyed all they could do was wail in pain.

Gengar cackled and then floated back to the asleep Onmyōji and hit all three of them with Dream Eater, these Onmyōji died screaming in pain as their life force was drained from them while they slept.

After Gengar was done with that he maliciously grinned and then let Rean and his fellow Ghost Type Pokémon know that he was done with his side.

Froslass didn't even wait for the Onmyōji on her side to even finish setting up, she immediately attacked by appearing behind one of the Onmyōji and grabbed his head with her little ice cold claw.

The Ghost and Ice Type Pokemon then unleashed a Thunderbolt directly into the Onmyōji's head, the man only had a time to scream in pain for a few seconds before dying via electrocution.

This alerted the rest of the Onmyōji and when they turned around to see what was happening they could only gulp in fear as they watch Froslass glaring at them while holding up by a smoking and dead Onmyōji by the head.

Froslass carelessly threw the dead body away and the Onmyōji immediately began to chant and prepare an attack but Froslass used Ice Shard stopping the Onmyōji from completing their attack to try and avoid the sharp shard of ice coming their way.

Two of them weren't fast enough and were hit by the sharp ice shards that dug into their bodies causing them to grunt in pain and drop to the ground, Froslass giggled and waved her little claw and the ice shard inside the bodies of the Onmyōji exploded.

The Onmyōji who where on the ground struggling to move because of the ice shards in their bodies tense up and then exploded in gore however the blood that shot out their bodies froze solid leaving a morbid red ice sculpture of sorts.

The other remaining Onmyōji were now terrified and screamed in horror but Froslass turned her head towards them and hit them with a sinister light from her eyes that made them freeze.

Suddenly they started to attack each other, screaming, kicking and punching in absolute terror until both of them ended on the ground severely injured and tired.

Froslass giggled enjoying the effects of her Confuse Ray she then aimed a little claw at one of the Onmyōji and fired a small Shadow Ball towards his chest.

The Ghost Type attack crashed against the Onmyōji's chest who could only gasp in pain as the Shadow Ball went through his chest killing him a few moments later.

Froslass then hovered to the other Onmyōji who had finally snapped out of his confusion and stared in horror at Froslass as she maliciously grinned at him, Ghost and Ice Type Pokemon then pointed her little claw at the Onmyōji's legs and fired an Ice Beam.

The Onmyōji screamed in pain as Froslass froze solid his legs but to his growing pain and horror Froslass then floated down and used Wake-up Slap on his frozen legs shattering them.

The Onmyōji howled in both in pain and terror as he squirmed while holding his stumps for legs and unfortunately for him his night of pain was only beginning as Froslass grabbed him by the hair and began to drag him inside the walls.

Rean had asked to keep one alive and Froslass is always a good loyal Pokemon to her master Rean and as the Onmyōji screamed and flailed around trying to escape her icy cold grasp she smiled already thinking of the headpats she was going to get.

On another side of the walls of the Nakashima household, a group of Onmyōji stood there confused as to why the barrier hadn't been activated so they could go in a attack.

But before they could even go and investigate what was going on, the area around them suddenly lit up with a blue ominous light coming from above, which made the Onmyōji looked up in surprise.

Only to watch as Chandelure hovered down and stared at them causing everyone to panic, Chandelure suddenly made some off noises and then fired a purple smoke from her flames that drifted down towards the Onmyōji.

As soon as Chandelure's Smog attack hit the Onmyōji, they began to hack and cough from the highly toxic fumes from Chandelure's Poison type attack.

Two of them couldn't take the fumes and collapsed on the ground vomiting blood before dying but Chandelure ignore them and then fired a Fire Spin, which she sent towards the rest of the coughing and gasping for air Onmyōji.

The Fire Type Attack crashed against the Onmyōji and burned them alive unable to even scream because their throats were severely damaged by Chandelure's Smog attack.

After there was nothing but ashes left of the people her master Rean had sent her to take care of, Chandelure then began to float back to Rean.

As she left, the wind slowly blew the ashes left of the Onmyōji's bodies, erasing any evidence that they were even there to begin with.

The last group of Onmyōji looked rather concerned and confused, it was already very late for the operation to begin and they were beginning to consider leaving, when a noise coming from the bushes behind them made everyone jump in surprise and turn towards the noise.

Everyone stared at the bushes as they began to shake and make noise in nervous anticipation until some weird creature wearing some sort of old rag jumped out of the bushes.

The Onmyōji stared at the strange creature as it stood there staring at them until one of the Onmyōji began to chuckle and walk up towards the creature "boy... that's scared me! but it's just a silly little thing~".

Mimikyu however narrowed her little eyes not liking the way this guy was talking to her, she was really getting tired of people treating her like she was just some tiny harmless thing.

This is why she loves her master, Kunou, Wiene and her mates, they all give her a lot of care and love and Mimikyu love them all for that which is why she would do anything for them.

Still this sort of attitude towards her really upsets her and the fool who just belittled her was about to find out that it wasn't a good idea to do that.

As soon and then cheerful Onmyōji got close to Mimikyu she let of her pitch black claws and engulfed them with Bug Type Energy and crossed slashed the Onmyōji so fast that all everyone saw was him flinch for a second before falling apart in four pieces.

Mimikyu watched with a cold look in her eyes as her X-scissors attack cut the idiot approaching her in four pieces, the rest of the Onmyōji gasped in shock and surprise but Mimikyu didn't let them react.

The Ghost and Fairy Type Pokemon engulfed her body with Ghost Type Energy and her shadow suddenly shot forward towards two of the Onmyōji's shadow.

Activating her Shadow Sneak attack caused the Onmyōji's shadow to suddenly sent up big spikes of darkness that impaled their bodies making the Onmyōji squirm in pain as the spike ran through their chests.

Mimikyu then flexed gather Ghost Type Energy causing the spikes to retract back and allowing the now dead Onmyōji to drop on the ground where they layed unmoving.

With three of the Onmyōji dead, that left two more for Mimikyu to deal with and these two were now beginning to try to run away but Mimikyu waved one of her pitch black claws and fired off a Thunderwave attack at the running Onmyōji.

The Onmyōji screamed in pain as they drop down onto the ground face first as soon as the Thunderwave hit them, Mimikyu then calmly walked towards them while the Paralyzed Onmyōji could only stare with wide eyes full of terror as she approached them.

Her pitch black claws then rose to the air and began to glow with Ghost Type Energy and with two swift swipes with her claws she beheaded both Onmyōji.

Mimikyu stared at the dead bodies and then sighed feeling a bit annoyed still she decided that getting a few headpats from her master Rean were what she needed to calm down so she began to walk back towards where her master was no doubt watching everything go down.

And so Mimikyu walked away from the area while leaving a bunch of dead Onmyōji in her wake, she really didn't care for the mess she left knowing that someone would clean it up eventually, right now all she wanted was to be pampered by Rean.

I smiled as I watched my Pokemon head back to me after dealing with the idiots who thought it would be easy to come in here and attack the Nakashima "rather bold of them to send around twenty-something Onmyōji to take care of a family of three...".

I stood up from where I was sitting in the rooftop and opened my eyes no longer needing to keep an eye on the area with Aura Sense since I doubt they would sent someone else to come after the Nakashima for at least tonight that is.

I looked up towards the moon and sighed "makes me wonder why the Five Principal Clans think the can do anything they want... Isamu is a very high level Politician and well known in Japan, so why do the believe they can get away with this?".

I moved my gaze to the side and watched as Froslass came to me while holding a screaming Onmyōji by the hair, I gave her a smile as she approached me and as soon as she got close she threw the Onmyōji who landed by my side.

His screams of pain annoyed me so I kicked him in the face to knock him out while Froslass floated up to me looking rather expectantly at me, it made me chuckled in amusement knowing what she wanted so I have her a headpat "good job Froslass".

Froslass chirped her name and brightly smiled, suddenly I heard a soft hiss and knowing who it was and turned my head towards her and also gave her smile "and you too Mimikyu, good job".

Mimikyu happily hissed and then jumped towards me where I caught her with my free arm and hugged her "hahaha looks like someone pissed you off huh?".

Mimikyu nodded and I decided to give her a small headpat while I turned my head towards the unconscious and legless Onmyōji "now what to do with you... I'll send you to Yasaka, I'm sure she will enjoy squeezing you out all the information you have".

I grinned and then with a snap of my fingers I teleported the unconscious Onmyōji back home, right into my Workshop, I then took out my smartphone and texted Yasaka to let her know about our guest.

After that I turned my head towards Froslass who was now accompanied by Gengar and Chandelure "well now that's done let's go rest, tomorrow is another busy day for us guys".

My Ghost Type Pokémon nodded, first I snap my fingers teleporting the dead bodies to the sun and then together we all teleported back into the room that the Nakashima had prepared for me and decided to go to sleep or rather I'm going to go to sleep while the Ghost Pokémon rest in the shadows of my room.

The next morning I got up a little bit before anyone else and magically cleaned myself, I then went to kitchen and sat at the table while I waited for everyone to wake up and start their day.

As I sat down, I decided that I needed some coffee so I called Mew to see if she would bring me some from the shop "Mew!".

Mew appeared in a flash of light and twirled around in the air for a little bit before stopping in front of with a smile on her face, I gave her a headpat since I knew thats what she wanted "mind getting me a coffee from the shop? make it extra large okay?".

Mew nodded and immediately vanished and a few minutes later she reappeared with a big cup of coffee floating behind her thanks to her telekinesis. I smiled at her and grabbed my coffee "thank you Mew! your the best!".

Mew giggled and then sat on the table in front of me while I took a Pokepuffin I gave it her to snack on while I waited for the Nakashimas, it didn't take long for Hanako to come down first to start with breakfast.

She gave Mew a headpat and me a good morning greeting, she then immediately began to prepare breakfast, Isamu came down next and sat down on the kitchen table with a newspaper right in front of me.

I took a sip of my coffee and then preceeded to speak "the Nakiri planned an attack on this house last night...".

Isamu tense up and immediately put down his newspaper and looked at me straight in the eyes "how many? last time it was only four of the Nakiri who attacked Kaede while she was out".

"Four? then they're escalating their attacks or at the very least they suspect that someone or something is protecting you and your family... last night were more of twenty Onmyōji, ten were here to ward the place up and the rest to attack".

Isamu looked down with a worried expression on his face which I understood, it must disturbing to find out that someone sent a small army against you and your family "look Isamu...".

Isamu looked towards my eyes with a serious expression on his face "they knew you had increased your security detail, they not only knew exactly how many Onmyōji to sent to deal with your security but how many needed to cover the entire area in a ward".

Isamu narrowed his eyes "so someone told them all of that information... but they weren't able to communicate yesterday otherwise they would have told the Nakiri about you".

I nodded "that's right which means that since last night's attack failed they're bound to want to let the Nakiri know about my presence, I already have my Ghost Type Pokémon keeping an eye on everyone here so the traitor will be revealed soon enough".

Isamu sighed "I can't believe someone would betrayed me to the Nakiri...".

"We don't know why they did it yet, the could have been threatened or magically manipulated so let's wait until we find out what's going on before we think it's just simple betrayal".

Isamu nodded and quietly stared into the ceiling "I also had one of them kept alive to interrogate, right now Yasaka and quite possible Serafall are making him sing".

Isamu winced "hoo boy... I feel bad for that poor bastard, I know for a fact that big sis Yasaka is merciless when she's angry and I know she was angry when I told her what happened to Kaede".

I chuckled and nodded knowing how true that was, Yasaka might seemed the calmest and most mature of the girls but she has quite the vindictive streak, suddenly Kaede appeared into the kitchen with both Espeon and Umbreon following her from behind.

Both Eeveelution looked very happy and shiny for some reason making me raise an eyebrow "hm? and what are you two so happy about? especially you Umbreon, your not a morning Pokémon".

Umbreon and Espeon began to bark out towards me letting me know what had they been doing while Kaede listen intently to what was going "oh? so you took a bath with Keade and you like her shampoo? well it did leave your fur extra shiny".

Both Espeon and Umbreon began to let out happy cries while Kaede tilted her head "you can understand what they're saying?".

I smiled at her and give her a nod "that's right, my bond with them allows me to understand what they're trying to convey, though my family has been able to learn how to understand them as well".

Kaede eyes sparkled in interest "wow! do you think I can learn how to understand them too?".

I nodded "as you spend more time with them and bond I'm sure you will eventually come to understand them and lucky for you, you will be spending a lot of time with them".

Kaede smiled and then sat on the kitchen table soon after Hanako began to serve breakfast and I served the Pokémon their Pokéfeed, I quietly ate as I heard this small family speak about mundane things.

After breakfast and waiting for Kaede to finish getting ready for school we then departed the Nakashima household, according to Kaede she goes to an all girl school in Tokyo and luckly for her and me it's a walking distance away from the Isamu Household.

Appearantly her school is a high end one where daughters of prestigious family and important people go to have an education, it all seemed to tedious for me but I guess her parents wanted Kaede to have a good education.

The problem was that this school also encouraged making connections to important families and people, which meant that most girls on this school only cared about one thing and that was social standing.

Something that Kaede doesn't want anything to do with and much rather likes being normal which in all honesty seems kinda of impossible for her since Isamu is a very important politician with a lot of connections, it's because of that fact that she doesn't have any friends in school.

It wasn't like anyone didn't try to be her friend or even that they ignore her or anything like that, it was just that she has always been aware that people approach her because of her father and that made her wary of people.

Perhaps that was why she got so attached to the Pokémon and even though right now she was catching a lot of attention while walking around with both Umbreon and Espeon hanging from her shoulders she was all smiles and laughs.

She didn't seemed to care about the confused stares she was getting from her fellow students and teachers as she walked inside her campus and even went to class, she didn't care about all the attention she was getting as she sat and both Espeon and Umbreon jumped on her table to get ear scratches as they waited for the teacher to arrive.

It was funny how people react to Pokémon, I don't know what's about them that it makes people think they're normal and not question what they are, sure there's some that do but most people just accept Pokémon and don't even bat an eye on them.

Is it something about this world? or something that comes from Pokémon? is it perhaps their Aura that makes people accept them so easy or maybe it's just their nature?.

I don't really know but it's something that I have noticed not only here in Tokyo but Kyoto and Kuoh as well, perhaps this needs a little bit of experimenting.

I'll try to take my Pokemon to other parts of the world some other time and see what reaction they get from the people in those places but that's something for another time.

Right now I must keep an eye on Kaede, the Nakiri failed and it might take a while before they try to go after her again but that's just the Nakiri, the other four Great Clans might try something.

Throughout the day I kept a watch over Kaede school with Aura Sense while also reading the information Yasaka had squeezed from the Onmyōji she and Serafall interrogated, it seems like I was right and Isamu did have a traitor.

One of the security guards was being threatened with his family's well being in order for the Nakiri to be kept informed about everything going on with the Nakashimas.

I already sent Mewtwo to go get that Security guard's family into a safe house on Kyoto while all of this mess is resolved, I also sent a letter to Isamu via Mew's delivery service letting him know what I found out and to have all of the security guards's family taken to safe houses in Kyoto to prevent anyone else from being force to talk.

Isamu immediately agreed and got to work on that right away, eventually the lunch bell rang and in a flash of purple Kaede, Umbreon and Espeon appeared besides me "oh there you are Rean!".

I turned my head towards Kaede and smiled, she seems more cheery and happy than when I met her which makes me happy.

It seems like spending time with the Pokémon had made her feel both safe and better "hey Kaede, how's your school day going?".

Kaede smiled and sat besides while looking around where we were "it's okay I guess though I had a good laugh when Espeon corrected the math teacher on a problem! she so smart!".

I chuckled and gave Espeon a headpat making her purr "that she is" I smiled at my Psychic Eeveelution, I have noticed that Psychic Pokémon were really good with math problems of all kinds and even difficult equations and formulas.

In Kuoh Gardevoir tutors a small group of students from my class and that includes both Asia and Yunyun, it is funny watching her be all teacher like while tutoring a bunch of my fellow classmates.

Kaede began to take out her lunch which Hanako made for her, she also made me one as well which I took out from my inventory as well, Kaede then looked to me "this is the rooftop of the school right?".

I nodded while I also took out a few Pokepuffin for Umbreon and Espeon to snack on "yes, up here I can keep an eye on the entire area around the school with ease".

Kaede nodded and took a bite of her food while I did the same, we stayed in silence for a few moments until Kaede spoke up again "Rean... thank you for protecting me, dad told me you were usually a very busy individual so it means a lot that you personally came to protect me".

I smiled and looked up at the sky "your welcome... busy huh?" that's putting it mildly, everyday there's something new I have to deal with but I can't deny that I've been having more fun than ever.

It made chuckle to remember how busy my life is with all my girlfriends, my two daughters and my Pokemon but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world, Kaede must have heard my chuckle because she turned her head towards me with a curious look on her face.

I smiled "sorry, it's just when you said that I'm usually busy it made think of everything that is going on in my life... I can honestly say that I'm happy and having a lot fun".

Keade smiled and gave Umbreon and headpat making him close his eyes and enjoy it "... aren't you afraid of the Supernatural world? dad and mom warned me of how dangerous it is... Devils reincarnating other races, Exorcists and Fallen Angels killing you because you might be a danger and so much more... honestly I'm terrified about all of this...".

"I see... I'm not going to lie to you or give you false platitudes Kaede, this world can be both horrible and terrible and I'm not just speaking about the Supernatural world but the mundane as well... but even so there's a lot of amazing things making it worth it living in both worlds".

Kaede listened intently to me as I spoke "when I awoke to my powers and found out about the Supernatural I was terrified, I didn't want to become someone's slaves nor I wanted to be hunted down because of my power so I sought out to become strong".

I looked down "I sort of became obsessed with wanting to grow powerful enough to have the freedom to live however I want, but eventually I met people who love me and supported me and overtime that desire for power turned into one focused on growing powerful not just for my freedom but to keep my family safe".

Kaede looked down at her food lost in thought for a few moments while I went back to eating my food, we ate in silence for a few minutes while Kaede thought about who knows what until she finally spoke up "Rean?...".

I turned my gaze towards Kaede and was surprised about the determination glowing in her red eyes "can you help me grow strong? I don't have any Supernatural powers and mom told me I might never awaken my Oni blood but... I don't want to be afraid anymore, I don't want others to get hurt protecting me and don't want to keep worrying my dad and mom".

I stared into her eyes for a few good seconds in silence and she stared back at me until I sighed "it won't be easy you know? you will have to put your life on the line to grow strong Kaede, this isn't a decision you can lightly take".

I stood up and looked down at her "once you fully step into the the moonlit world there's no going back, are you sure this is what you want to do?".

Kaede looked down for a few moments but then she stood up and tighten her fists and she looked into my eyes with a fire that wasn't there the day I met her "yes! I want to fight! I don't want to be afraid anymore! please help me Rean! I'll do anything you ask me".

I closed my eyes and sighed, I can fully understand where Kaede is coming from but unlike me or anyone else I know, Keade has zero knowledge of the Supernatural world.

Like Issei she jumping into straight on and without a helmet but if I refused to help her she might go look for other ways to get stronger and might end up being used or worse.

So I can't in good conscience just denied her when she has that much resolve glowing on her eyes "all right but your going to have to talk to your parents about this and if they agree I'll help you grow strong okay?".

Kaede brightly smiled and happily clapped her hands, she then sat back down and gave both Umbreon and Espeon a hug, both Eeveelution happily licked her cheeks happy she got what she wanted.

Such a small and skinny girl wants to be strong enough to fight and I'll make sure I make her the strongest half blood in the world, I'll show the Supernatural world through her that they're wrong to dismiss those born from a human and Supernatural.

Of course as long as Isamu and Hanako agree that is "finish your lunch Kaede, lunch period is about to end".

Kaede nodded and began to happily finish eating while I continued to keep an eyes on everything, I wonder who of the Five Principal Clans will do something stupid next?

Well it doesn't matter who tries to do anything, they'll die just like the Onmyōji the Nakiri sent, no one will touch the Nakashima while I'm around.

No one will ever be able to harm this small family of kind hard working people, especially not any bigoted and foolish Clans and if I have to do the same thing I did to the Hayashi to keep the Nakashima safe then so be it.

Meanwhile in a safe house located in Tokyo an elder of the Nakiri clan scowled as he read the report of the two attacks he organized yesterday, both of these attacks were organized and prepared by him personally but both had failed.

He ended up losing a big number of the Nakiri Onmyōji who had joined him in his endeavor to raise the Nakiri clan to higher status, once could have been a fluke both both attacks failed and that meant that something else in going.

So the Nakiri Elder growled in both anger and confusion "we must find out what's going on at all cost and if someone is involved in all of this they'll live to regret crossing the Nakiri Clan!".

The elder slammed his fist on top of his desk in frustration while inwardly cursing his luck at having lost a great number of talented Onmyōji.

Poor old man, he would soon learned how unprepared him and his whole clan is in the face of a force far more powerful than anything in this world has seen.
