Chapter 63: Joke

The War of Deceit, that was what the historians recorded about the war between Camilla, Julie, and the Holy Kingdom. The details on how it started were very vague, but one thing was for sure… after the war there had been massive turmoil.

The vacuum of power Headmistress Julie left behind isn't something that could be filled by simply having another Legendary Rank replace her. So both Camilla and the Holy Kingdom who used to be semi-allied against Julie are now hungrily looking at what the Headmistress had left behind. It was a legacy of endless resources of a whole divided kingdom, since Julie had killed the previous Royal Family she was the ruler of the place in all but name.

Now, with no one in place to lead them, the Nobles had waged war against each other and alliances were being made. Of course, each of them had the ambition to become King, but Camilla and the Holy Kingdom had different plans.

Both of the Super Entities wouldn't mind not having the country, after all, it wouldn't be easy to hold it together, at least they would wait till the Nobles killed each other off so as not to waste effort bringing them under the heel.

But… if the other force, either Camilla or the Holy Kingdom got their hands on it, then the advantage for the side that got it would be immense, potentially it will decide the tide of the war. Because it was inevitable in the end, the Human Continent couldn't hold two Super Powerful entities. Previously, Camilla, Julie, and the Holy Kingdom rarely fought, and even when they did it was at mist skirmishes.

Because if two of them fought then the one who stayed out would have the advantage as their army would be fresh and pristine, in the end, they would win because whoever won the war between the two would be left weakened at the end of it.

In the Wayne Kingdom inside an unassuming tavern at the side of the bar at a young man with long dark hair and eyes. He seemed to be a good-looking kid around ten years old or so, though there was something strange about him… his skin was very pale like he hadn't been outside for years.

Next to him was also a girl, around the same age with similar long dark hair and eyes, though she had tied her hair in a ponytail. They were Lily and Alex, the latter finally having come out of his 'hibernation'.

"I told you to go outside sometimes, now you look so pale that everyone is looking at us." Complained Lily, as she had Alex pull out a delicious dish out of nowhere.

"It doesn't matter what they think," Alex smirked, but it didn't seem to reach his eyes and his gaze was emotionless, "I will just kill them if our views differ."

Lily looked at him a little surprised, but in the end, she shrugged. She didn't care if some random people died.

'Though it seems like Alex has become colder, three years ago he wouldn't resort to murder so casually. Now if he saw that this was the easiest method and with fewer repercussions, then he would take it.' Lily contemplated, before looking if any fool took Alex's bait.

"Did you say that my Sword Mountain Sect's opinion doesn't matter, kid?" Asked a man as he got up, he looked young and had handsome features.

Alex on the other hand looked at him unimpressed.

"Oh, is that young master Chi Yan from the Sword Mountain?"

"Yeah, I heard he had just reached

Foundation Establishment Stage at age twenty-one."

Alex on the other hand didn't even turn to look at the man and just pointed a finger. <Light Pierce>

Pew!

A blue laser made out of Mana shot out of his finger and Chi Yan sneered at the spell, even though he wasn't a Mage he recognized the spell. He pulled out his sword at incredible speeds and attempted to deflect the attack, but it pierced straight through the sword, Ki, and the man's brain.

"W -What?!"

"He killed Chi Yan in one hit!"

Many people were surprised at this.

"Sheesh, how troublesome~" Alex complained, before looking at the corpse and his eyes shone with maliciousness.

Lily sighed, "Welp, that will be troublesome to deal with."

Alex agreed with her because now this guy had some master who taught him what he knew and the man would come to take revenge.

If he killed the Master, then the man's Sect would come and so on… Alex would have to kill his way to the Royal Family if he didn't take care of things quickly. He knew how things in the Wayne Kingdom worked, things were more about honor than logic.

A man's word is worth more than his weight in Gold, that was what people in this place believed. Of course, there were outcasts, but the culture and place they grew up in influenced them to grow into honorable people.

"By the way, what Rank was Foundation Establishment?" Asked Lily, a little confused by the terminology used in the Wayne Kingdom.

"Foundation Establishment is around Rank 4, and the dead guy just seemed to have entered the stage," Alex smirked, he knew the confusing terminology used by the Wayne Kingdom. Plus some Cultivation Techniques had their own ranking names and the Monks have a different one too.

'Can't they just have simple Rankings like from 1-4 and then Legend. That is way easier to remember for everyone, no need for fancy names.' Thought Alex, contemplating that the difference in naming for Ranks showed a deeper problem in the Wayne Kingdom.

That was the Kingdom's division, sure it might be just names, but it showed that when people couldn't even agree on a single thing it showed that even the King didn't have control of his own Kingdom.

Alex looked at the dead body and his eyes shone for a split second before a white aura flew out of the man and into Alex's hand. It slowly then formed into a white pill overflowing with Ki. "He really was talented, could have probably reached Legendary Rank in 50 or so years if he trained religiously. Anyway, catch this!"

He threw the white pill-like thing down Lily's throat and she started choking. "Ugh!!"

But Alex isn't panicked and just karate chops her in the neck and causes the pill to go down her throat. "There, there, you are good now."

Hearing the amused tone, Lily gave him a stinging glare, wishing she could just slap his smug look… metaphysical smug look because his face looked like it was carved in stone. No emotion was shown on his face.

Suddenly out of the corners of his eyes Alex saw a girl in a cloak rush by him, he raised a questioning brow. 'Was she his lover or something? Oh well, I don't mind killing women either. I am an advocate for gender equality.'

But unlike his initial expectations, the girl bowed, her forehead touching the ground. "Please don't kill me!" She begged, taking off her cloak, revealing a young girl with blonde hair and golden eyes, and a voluptuous body to add.

The people in the tavern looked at her strangely. Alex on the other hand smirks, which for a kid made him look a little arrogant but he didn't care. "You are smart."

"What the hell is he talking about?" Some of the patrons in the tavern looked worried, and dark thoughts with terrifying implications appeared in their minds.

"O -Oy, kid, what are you going to do?"

"Die." Ordered Alex casually, confusing everyone, until suddenly the people in the tavern started dropping like flies. Their souls forcefully escaped out of their bodies.

The young blonde girl's body shook in fear, as cold sweat made her skin shine even more and make it seem luscious.

"Hmmm~" Alex hummed in amusement, looking at the bowing woman in front of him as he drank a glass of milk. His childishness clearly out in the open, "Drinking milk is good for a growing boy like me. Don't you think so? Miss…"

"Ziyun, my name is Cai Ziyun," she answered immediately, "And yes, drinking milk is very healthy, it helps the body and rejuvenates the bones."

"Would you call anyone who doesn't drink milk?" He asked while taking a sip of the milk glass.

"Yes!" She answered resolutely.

Alex frowned in displeasure, this caused the young girl's body to shake in even more fear. This was a life-and-death situation for her. "I hate milk…" when Alex said that, the whole world seemed to come crashing down on the golden-eyed girl.

Lily got annoyed at this, "Stop teasing the poor girl just for your amusement."

He looked at her with a pitiful look, "But I really don't like milk."

"I remember you saying that you have no opinion of milk. You don't like it or hate it, but will still drink milk when offered."

"Hehehe, you just know me too well." Alex smikred, his eyes shone with a dangerous light before he settled down. "Oh well, we better get and do the thing… you are also coming with us too girl. Tell me about you."

A/N: By the way, this was a three year time skip if anyone was curious about the timeline. Also the Wayne Kingdom is... well, you will see.
