First fight

Rengoku pov

'It has been a few weeks since then and I have learned a few things from observing my surroundings the most notable thing being that my name is Rengoku Kyojuro which is too much to be a coincidence and it doesn't help the fact that my new mother looks the same as my old mother Ruka but she is most definitely a different person ' As I was having these thoughts I looked up at the ceiling

'But I haven't seen my father yet nor have I heard my new mother speaking of him' I thought confused as it had been weeks and I still had no idea what the situation is 'Perhaps he is dead?' I couldn't bring myself to be too sad about him being dead as I know my true father is alive but it would bring great difficulties to my new mother

'Either way, I have no way of finding out ' I thought dropping the subject for now 'But I still can't get used to this weak body' as I had been quite active in both my lives It was quite frustrating being this weak

"What are you thinking little Kyojuro," my mother said as she entered the room holding a bottle full of milk startling me in the process

"Ah" I involuntarily let out a weird sound ah due to my surprise

"Aww is little Kyo hungry," She said in an annoyingly kind voice as she lifted me into her arms to feed me but I was still thankful for her taking care of me by herself

As she put the tip of the bottle in my mouth I started drinking while looking at her. As similar, as she looks to Ruka there are differences mainly the fact that she looks less refined than my original mother

As I sipped on the warm milk I started to feel myself losing consciousness and I quickly fell asleep

As I sat in a doctor's office waiting to find out if I'm quirkless or but if I'm being honest I couldn't care if I got one or not as I'd stick with flame breathing either way

"Ma'am I'm sorry to say this but he is quirkless," said the doctor in a comforting voice

"I see," said my mother in as kind a voice as possible to hide her sadness

I couldn't help but feel bad for my mother as I knew this society valued quirks above all and as she was quirkless she probably feels it was her fault for in society's view at least ruining my future

"Mom don't worry I don't need a quirk, all I need is you and then I will be happy," I told her but I doubt it did anything to ease her worries

My mother looked at me and then she thanked the doctor for his time before taking me home to our apartment

After being stuck in the doctor's office all day I wasn't keen on staying inside so I told my mother I was going down to the park

"Ok before you go Kyojuro know that I love you," my mother told me before I left the apartment and I told her that l loved her too

As I reached the park I saw some kids playing but I ignored them and started doing basic exercises such as jumping jacks and running nothing too serious to avoid any problems with my growth but still keeping me at the physical peak for my age and I continued to do my exercises for the next 20 minutes before I caught something out of the corner of my eye a small fight between children around the same age as me thinking that it was nothing serious and that nobody could get seriously injured I prepared to continue running until I heard a small bang sound startling me and making me turn to pay attention to what was happening

As I looked over I saw 6 children no more than 4 years of age but the most noticeable thing was I recognised them as the main characters of the show and then I remembered this scene it was where Deku saved some kid from Bakugo but I wasn't sure how the scene went all I knew was that it ended out fine and that no one was hurt so I continued running

After another twenty minutes of running and other light exercises, I stopped exhausted and decided to lie on some grass to rest for a few minutes

Breathing heavily I sat up and looked around only to spot Deku sitting alone a few metres away from me taking pity on the poor boy I called out to him

"Hey you" he turned to look at me slightly scared

"w-what do you want?" he spoke weakly slightly stuttering in the beginning

"It may be tough now but I can assure you it will only get worse if you don't do anything about it," I told him doubtful he would take the advice

"But then again I may be wrong you may wake up tomorrow and everything will go your way but I highly doubt it," I told him as I prepared to go home as I had been hungry for a while now

As the years went by I've come to realise that I underestimated how much this society looks down upon the quirkless and right now I'm too weak to do anything about it as I can't even practice breathing without being leagues stronger than I am now but I can't even train seriously to get to that level without ruining my body

All I can do is wait and keep my body ready for when I can start training seriously

The class soon ended along with it the school day so I packed up my bag and prepared to go home

As I was leaving the classroom I noticed Izuku Midoriya or Deku as he was called in the anime was preparing to leave as well so I called out to him

Over the past few years, I've met Izuku quite often and he's come to see me as a friend and then we were put in the same class so I've taken to looking out for him when I can

"Izuku why don't you walk home with me," I said as I smiled at him hoping to ease his nerves a little bit

"Sure Rengoku-san," he said as he walked over to me

"Ah don't be so distant Izuku," I said as I slapped his back making sure not to accidentally hurt him in the process

As we were walking I started talking about some heroes I knew of in hopes of getting him to take his mind off things and it worked quite well I might add

"So do you want to be a hero Izuku," I asked already knowing the answer

"I do" he responded determined but still doubtful

"That's good then I will support you," I told him trying to get his confidence up

And we continued to talk for the next 15 minutes or so before he had to take a different route to get home leaving me alone not that I particularly cared

As I was walking through the city I decided to make a quick stop at a convenience store before going home as it would at most take only a few minutes

A few minutes later as I was entering the convenience store my senses flared telling me to move and so I jumped as hard as my weak body could to the side just barely avoiding a huge villain easily twice the size of even the biggest humans barrelling out of the store

As he the villain ran down the street I stood up and quickly dashed inside the convenience store to make sure nobody was hurt

However, upon entering, I saw a gruesome scene as the young cashier's head was ripped off before being dropped by his feet his expression of unmasked fear still on his face

Momentarily shocked by the unexpected sight I didn't notice that I wasn't the only one in the store as another villain most likely an accomplice of the other was still in the store

Upon my noticing him he also saw me his expression unreadable he stepped forward at a pace I couldn't think of matching in my current state and prepared to punch me as hard as he could likely banking on me forgetting his face if he hit me hard enough or just flat out killing me

As he was preparing to punch I realised that it was no normal punch and that he likely had a physical augmenting quirk so I backstepped to gain distance or move out of range while bringing up my arms in an attempt to dampen the blow if I failed

However, upon his punching did I realise I underestimated him by a large margin and his fist moved at a speed faster than any normal humans fist could dream of moving and with a force enough to kill me if it hit me cleanly the man's punch was likely comparable to a demons

Unable to dodge his punch I jumped and with my arms blocking my face hoping that it would be enough to keep me alive and without any permanent damage

As his fist hit my arms I felt them shattering like glass and I was flung back into a wall and knocked unconscious

Upon waking I noticed not much had changed other than the villain not being present

Unable to move I sat there my back to the wall and blood clouding my vision and I couldn't even breathe to stop the bleeding

And no more than a minute later I saw a police officer along with a few pro heroes entering the building

They quickly noticed the body and almost immediately after found me by the wall most likely looking as bad as I feel

However, I quickly realised that I couldn't hear them and had likely injured my ears

I tried to speak and tell them to call my mother but as I tried to speak I started uncontrollably coughing before losing consciousness

[ ??? Pov ]

As I was having lunch in a Park for my break I quickly noticed a behemoth of a man running from the store where I had just gotten my launch I looked down the street only to see the front of the store torn off leaving a gaping hole

Quickly I radioed in about what was happening before rushing to the store to make sure nobody was hurt

As I was nearing the store I saw another man running out only to be quickly stopped by some pro heroes who happened to have been patrolling the area

As I got to the store before entering I called out to the heroes to watch my back as we entered the store only to see a young man's head on the floor

Momentarily shocked by the sight I looked away only to spot a bright-haired child sitting against the wall covered in blood but the most gruesome part was his arms that were nearly mangled and had bits of bone jutting out of his skin

He tried to say something before entering a coughing fit and passing out luckily I could hear the ambulance nearby so I just made sure he was breathing until it arrived
