The Evolution Chronicles

Arc One: Mian is the castaway of a dying, if not already dead pack of demi-humans. Dumped in the middle of the forest, he is found by the Patriarch of a flourishing band of demi-humans. Unfortunately for him, he just happened to be different from them in almost every way. Mian's senses are weaker than the average demi-human's. Mian's strength is below average, Mian's resistance to illness is below average, Mian's toxins can barely hurt a fly. Worst of it all, Mian just has to look different from the others. The Freak of the pack. One day, a mysterious rock crashes into the outer territories of the pack's lands, prompting a group to be sent out to investigate. Mian is accidentally placed in the group and has to go out. Upon getting there, Mian's life changes, never to be the same ever again, as he gains access to something no one else has - Evolution. --- Silver WPC winner for WPC 206! 30 Power Stones for a bonus chapter! Some time later, Mian, Dion, and the two boys left Daven's study. They had discussed all that they needed to, and now, they needed rest more than anything. Mian was eager to check out how the city had come to be, and what new sights he could see, but first, he needed to rest. The journey back home had been a taxing one.

"I think I remember the way back to my new quarters. I'll see you tomorrow, Dion." Mian tiredly said, barely holding back a yawn.

"Err, we should be heading the same way. Our houses are next to each other's." Dion replied.

"Wait, you both get your own houses?!" Flare exclaimed from where he was walking by the two boys. Arc stared at Flare as if he had a screw lose in his head after he yelled that way.

"Why not?" Dion asked with an amused smirk.

"Because!" The young Werecat yelled, but left his sentence unfinished. He just continued walking with a pout on his adorable face because he was not able to think of a reason why they shouldn't get their own houses.
