The dragons, angels, and saintesses halted, adopting solemn expressions as they peered into the darkness ahead and saw three sets of red eyes.
Cain's eyes widened slightly, his muscles tensing. The creatures radiated an overwhelming presence—one that surpassed even the strongest beings he had encountered in the Primeval World.
It did not take long for the creatures to finally shed away the darkness, revealing their horrifying and monstrously powerful figures to the group.
What the angels, dragons, and saintesses saw before them were abominations, a twisted fusion of flesh and stone—a grotesque amalgamation that merged sinew and rock-like structures. Dark cables or tendrils snaked out of their bodies, writhing and falling to the ground like the roots of some malevolent tree. The surfaces of their bodies appeared cracked and rough, with glowing red fissures scattered across their figures, hinting at some kind of internal energy or life force.
