A torrent of destructive energy erupted upward, meeting the descending meteors. The resulting collision filled the dome with blinding light and deafening sound. Overion shielded his eyes, feeling the backlash of his failed attack.
Seizing the moment, Harland surged forward, his sword enveloped in a brilliant aura. He struck at Cain's underbelly, the blade finding a gap between the scales.
"Burn, damn ant!" Cain growled, channeling dark scarlet flames through his scales. The fire, enhanced by Reaper Touch, pulsed outward, seeping into Harland's sword and traveling up into his arms.
Harland felt a burning sensation as the destructive force ate away at his defenses, spreading cracks along his diamond skin and forcing him to dash away.
