We Are Being Followed

~•Aden•~

My arms were hanging in the air on either side while my eyes staring into the distance with utter bafflement. The trees which were lining the muddy trail seemed more interesting to me even when they were shrouded with the darkness of the night.

"Thank you so much."

Her melodious voice brushed against my ear drums, pulling me out of my stupor.

"It's f-fine." I managed to push some words out of my mouth. My mind was still finding it hard to believe that she was hugging me on her own accord just to say thanks. I trailed my eyes to my own hands which were still hanging mid air, waiting for me to make the tough choice of whether or not to hug her back.

'It's not the first time that you are going to hug her.' I saw my hands moving closer to her as my subconscious decided to chime in.
