Sacrifice (1)

~•Amara•~

While going through Popsy's library in one of our homes, I stumbled upon a piece of writing which was related to life. The piece was still stuck in my mind as it was one of the things which I never could really comprehend throughout my life. But I was starting to get it now.

'Sacrifice. A simple word, but it holds so much more. It teaches you to live life differently, to put other people's needs before yours, to be willing to take that risk which holds the potential to destroy you, and always be ready to neglect your own self.'

I had questioned Popsy about it and all he did in response was to add to my query. He had told me more about sacrifice.

"There is one thing without which it would always be incomplete, and that is love. Without love, there is no way that one will be willing to take the step. The thought of putting anyone else before themselves alone will never cross someone's mind if they don't bear any feelings for the other person."
