I Remember Now

Nox is unconscious, lying on the bed in a certain room in the City Lord's castle, two days later, Amara is sitting next to Nox, worried about his condition.

"How many times should you be so reckless Nox, you're getting me worried every time... By the way, the artefact that you gave me turned out to be an 'S Rank' headpiece, it suits magicians and adds a buff to their magic amplification, thanks to it I'm now as strong as an S rank Mage, I already was the strongest attack Archmage in the kingdom, and now thanks to you, I'm the strongest without a doubt, so please, you too must get well soon... Nox," said Amara, but he can't hear her words.

Nox is deep into his nightmares again, or he believes they're his past memories.

"Where am I? What is this place?!" he shouted, Nox is in the streets of Blackwater City, there are so many people but they don't seem to see him at all, he calls them but no one replies and then sees a girl coming his way, it's the same girl he always sees in his dreams, he can finally see her clearly, she's a very beautiful Elf, she has a violet hair, and beautiful eyes that look like a starry night with a full moon, she gets closer to Nox.

"Darling, there you are, I was looking for you," said the girl.

"Hi... I..." said Nox, not believing that he was totally conscious in this dream, it feels real, but then, the girl passes right through Nox's body as if he was a ghost, he stands surprised and turns back to see... Another Nox holding the girl in his arms. (Is that me?? What's happening??) he thought.

The other Nox looks exactly like him, it's himself from the forgotten past, the other Nox dresses elegantly as one of the nobles, he doesn't look older than the current Nox.

"I've been looking for you Aveline," said the other Nox.

"Me too darling," said Aveline, upon hearing her name, the name 'Aveline Silverleaf' popped up in Nox's mind, her name dug deep into his memories, he feels attached to her, and then darkness engulfs the scene and suddenly Nox is shown another memory where he finds himself at his home in Blackwater.

"This is my old House?.. Is this really just a dream?" asked Nox, with his eyes wide open, he sees Other Nox laying on the bed, as Aveline passes right through him again, to go join The other Nox, (This feeling again, as if I'm a ghost)

"Baby, are you sure you're alright? You seem tired lately," asked Aveline.

"I'm really Ok dear," replied the other Nox.

"You don't need to take up any other missions, I'll go work so don't worry," said Aveline.

"No!! If you work outside you might get caught..!" said the other Nox.

"Don't worry I'll be careful!" she said.

"Aveline, don't do it! your family is after you, Their people are everywhere...Aveline..." he replied, and then darkness fills the scene again, as the name Aveline resounds inside Nox's head.

"Aaaagh it hurts, what's this, what's happening to me!!" shouted Nox, the scene changes again, to his last memory of Aveline, she holds Nox in her arms, and kisses his forehead.

"It feels as if I didn't feel your warmth for a long time," said Nox.

"I'll always be by your side, love," said Aveline and kissed his forehead, Nox tries to hug her, but suddenly they hear screams outside, and the roof got destroyed and flew away, Aveline got sucked away as well, she used her magic to resist but to no avail.

"Noooo!!! NOOOOX!!!!!!" shouted Aveline.

"Aveliiiiiiiiiiiinne..." shouted Nox, Aveline disappears into the sky above them, it was all dark as if night fell down, thunder clapped, and the Black rivers of Blackwater City created waterspouts that reached the clouds, and among them, the shadow of a Dragon appeared, he growls, and his roar levelled the city to the ground, all the Kingdom heard his roar and trembled in fear...

At the current time in the castle, Nox finally wakes up from his nightmare.

"Aveliiiiiiiiiiiiiine !!!!" he shouted, he woke up with a dark aura surrounding him, Amara charged into the room to check his condition.

"Nox, calm down!! It was just a dream," said Amara, trying to get Nox up but she couldn't shake him, (The Aura surrounding him makes him look like a different person, is this the power of the dagger? Or could it be the tattoo..) she thought.

"Aveliiiiiiiine!!!!" Nox shouted.

"Nox please calm down, it's just a nightmare!!" shouted Amara.

Nox stopped yelling, he calms down, the look in his eyes felt lifeless, and a dreadful and chilly aura surrounds him...

"Nox..." said Amara, hesitating to approach him.

sʜᴇ ғᴇᴇʟs ᴛᴇʀʀɪғɪᴇᴅ ʙᴇᴄᴀᴜsᴇ ᴛʜɪs ᴀᴜʀᴀ ɪs...

"No... I Remember Now..." said Nox.

"𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝜦𝖚𝖗𝖆 𝖔𝖋 𝕯𝖊𝖆𝖙𝖍"

"What's happening to your hand..." asked Amara, and she looks threatened by the dark Aura, Nox's tattoo is glowing on and off, and the Chaotic Dagger appeared in his hand, its blade is as pitch black, and the Aura it gives off is overwhelmingly terrifying, and then Amara sensed that someone is coming, it's General Godfrey.

"Nox!! Quickly store this magic back into the dagger, Godfrey is coming!!" said Amara, Nox withdraws his magic as well as the dagger, and then General Godfrey charges in.

"Amara!! What was that aura!! I come as fast as I sensed it!" said Godfrey

"Don't worry it's just..." said Amara, before she even finished her sentence, Godfrey acted on Nox, he charged to attack him in the blink of an eye, and the Wall enchanted by the strongest magic, cracked from the blow.

"Godfrey!! what are you doing!!!" shouted Amara with her face red and eyes narrowed, furious as she is, she released her killing intent towards Godfrey until.. they realise that Nox isn't on the broken bed...

"Why would you attack me? now that's not very kind of you General Godfrey," said Nox, he isn't showing any intent to kill, but Godfrey can't help but feel intimidated by the Dark Aura, and his old scar felt itchy.

"Amara! Don't be fooled, he has been corrupted by the dark magic, I knew this would happen!" shouted Godfrey.

"No Godfrey, he's not corrupted by it..." said Amara.

"Amaraa!!! Get back to your senses!!" shouted Godfrey.

"It's also not nice to yell at a lady, or maybe this is just not your day," said Nox.

Godfrey dashes again to attack Nox, but Nox disappears faster than Gofrey can blink, both of them are stunned by how fast Nox became.

"Sir Godfrey, I don't know what's your motive, but I really don't want to attack you..." said Nox.

"As if I would be defeated by a rat who only knows how to escape," said Godfrey.

"Godfrey, stop it already..." said Amara, worried about the outcome of such a situation.

"No Amara, leave this to me," said Nox.

"But..." she said.

"Just Trust me..." said Nox, his tattoo started glowing, and the dagger appeared, Nox released his Aura, and Godfrey felt the danger of the Aura but doesn't feel any killing intent from Nox, he understands that the Dark Aura might be under control by Nox.

"I don't feel any killing intent from you, so stop showing off this Aura," said Godfrey.

"Does that mean that you're gonna stop attacking? asked Nox.

"Are you really not possessed by that dagger?" asked Godfrey.

"No, it's the dagger that is possessed, by me" said Nox while smirking.

"If you two don't stop, I'll use my new attack spell and blow your heads away with this castle," said Amara who has been on her nerves, she's on fire!

"Alright then, as long as you keep it under control, but if you can't, and you pose a threat to the city, I'll end your life myself before it becomes another Calamity," said Godfrey.

"I got it, and I can assure you that I completely absorbed and subdued all its power," said Nox.

(How the hell could he absorb such a Chaotic Aura, even I got injured when I put the Crystal barrier on it with Holy Angel City's help) thought Godfrey.

"This is not an 'A Rank' dagger isn't it?" asked Nox.

Godfrey looks at Amara as she nods, he then decided to tell Nox the shocking news.

"Brat, that's an SS Rank dagger, in the whole kingdom, there are only 2 SS rank artefacts, and That dagger is one of them, but so far, you're the only one who could use the SS Rank Artefact, while the other one is stored at Fangroar City," said Godfrey.

Nox is shocked by the news, as he's the only user of an SS Rank artefact, he feels as if he's getting closer to his goal of getting powerful, but he knows that he still has a long way to go and that he still didn't fully subdue the Dagger, he'll be lucky if he can showcase a tenth of its power, this only makes him wonder, what's the origin of such a powerful weapon, and why was nobody able to use it before.
