Successful Scheme

"That was delicious." Zane said with a smile as he placed the bowl of noodle soup back on the table. The fragrance of the sesame oil still lingered in the dining room even though the bowl was empty.

He blinked and looked at Phoenix who was sitting in front of him, two empty bowls were on the table and he had already started on the desert.

"Ice cream in the morning?"

"I worked hard yesterday, I deserve a treat." Phoenix had already prepared an excuse ahead of time. He leaned over and tilted Zane's cheeks before effectively delivering the sweet treat into his mouth, "Sweet ba, this matcha flavor hits all the right spots in the morning."

It was so fucking sweet. Zane closed his eyes, he could swear that Phoenix had asked for it to be customized personally for him and asked them to heap the entire bag of sugar into the tub of ice cream. He took the bowls on the table and stood up, loading it into the washer when he turned.
