He saw the light in Phoenix's eyes dim and his stomach churned, "Phoenix, thank you for letting my friends in."

"Your Royal Highness. It was an honour to have you host us this evening." Avery's sharp tone made the tip of Zane's ears turn red. He could feel the gazes on him, especially Precious, it was as if she was trying to burn a hole through his head. 

Phoenix gave them a regal nod and then looked up at Zane, "I would leave you all to chat." He opened the door and Zane held it before it closed, he bent down and whispered, "I brought dinner, if you still want to eat, you can come over later. It is pot roast and mashed potatoes."

Phoenix stepped forward, invading One's personal space with the door separating them, "It sounds delicious. I would come in an hour." He stepped back and walked back to his room.
