The music she was listening to made her bounce her head as she walked to her workplace, but she was getting bored and she began walking faster. It was a chilly morning and she couldn't help herself but look up and say, "Why God? Why me?"

Michaela Jones hated the chilly mornings.

No, she hated any mornings. Be it hot or cold or warm, the mornings were on top of the long list she hated about her life and her work.

Work? She had to go there each day, knowing that she was going because she had her mouth to feed and bills to pay. If everything were free in the world she was living in she wouldn't work but rather stay at her home, and eat free air.

"Damn it stone," she said and bent down, removed her shoe, and removed the stone from her shoe but not before looking at the shoe and smiling at it. She loved the shoes and even if it was getting old she didn't care about it.
