The Crush

Michaela stared at her phone, and still no reply from her best friend. It was almost mid-day and she became worried. Scrolling up at the unanswered text, she stopped herself from sending another one.

The texts she had already sent were enough, she didn't want to come across as a very clingy person after all Gal was her best friend not her lover.

She placed the phone down and continued doing her work, the day was boring her. If Gal was there she would have been rambling to her while they do their work as most of the time Michaela talked from how she wasn't happy on how things were to how she had a crush at work, and Gal would always listen to her.

"Hasn't she arrived?" Someone next to her asked.

"Can't you see she hasn't?" Michaela answered as a question and the person smiled at her and turned back to her job.
