Once Kaylum was confident I had decently recovered from my heat, he began making preparations to leave for Halloween.
“Kaylum, I can cook for myself.”
“Oh sure you can,” he teases with a smile. “But I’m not taking any risks. I’m putting food in the cooler for you. Don’t fight me on this.”
“What am I supposed to do when you’re gone, though?” I whine.
“You could do me.”
My head snapped towards Alpha Brooks, eating what he claimed was a sandwich. It was a sauce abomination with bread, if you ask me. He looks up.
“What?”
“What did you just say?” I need clarification.
Why does he turn red so much?”
“Did…did I say that out loud?”
“Whatever it was, yeah,” Kaylum says. “You probably did.”
Alpha Brooks turns a deeper shade. Why? He looks perfectly healthy. Now that I think about it, he does still smell like burning fur. Burning…burning…
“Oh my god!” I shriek, standing quickly. “Are you embarrassed?”
