Chapter six: dragons

I opened my eyes slowly; everything was blurry so I blinked to check if I would see clearly.

I was so sore. It felt like my body was over worked or strained out. I could bearly feel my body. It felt like it was not mine. 'What happened to me' I asked myself inwardly.

I tried to move but I couldn't this time I knew it was not because of fear. But clearly something was restricting my movement. But what ? finally I could see clearly. I looked at my body and found big chains on both my legs and hands.

I was shocked. 'how did I get here and why am I being chained like an animal that was going to slaughtered. I tried to remember what happened before I got here.

Then I had a flashback. I recalled that I was being chased by a monster and I tried to reach a cave. But when I almost entered the cave I suddenly lost consciousness and now look where I found myself.

Then I heard a voice call me. I felt like this voice was kind of familiar but I did not know where I heard it before.

"Audrey" the voice called again.

"Audrey it is me Kelvin" the voice said. I looked at the figure that called my name.

"Audrey are you okay" the voice asked again. I was in daze but finally I got myself back.

I tried to speak but I found it hard to speak because my throat was so dry and sore. So I blinked to show that I heard him.

"How could you ask her that. Are you okay too" a voice asked.

"No you got me wrong Vince. She was acting like she had lost her memory" kelvin explained.

"Who would not lose his or her memory here. I don't even have my memory" Vince said.

"Then how did you know us and also remember who you are" kelvin asked.

"It was only God that helped me get my memory. If not right now I would be the one asking you where I am from and even ask you my what my gender is. Vince replied.

"Vince please this is not the place to crack jokes" kelvin said.

It was now I discovered that I was not the only person in the room. I looked around saw some people and just like me they were all chained.

"Where are we?" I asked when I could find my voice.

"I don't know but I am sure it was the thing that chased us that brought us here" feature answered.

"What thing?" I asked again. Everyone looked at me like what I said was stupid.

"Audrey I think you lost your memory. Why would you ask that" kelvin replied feeling annoyed. I did not know what I did wrong. Can't someone ask questions.

"Kelvin please don't say that. She is clearly traumatized. It must be because she had a shock" feature explained.

She turned to me " let me tell you the thing that brought us here" I tried to look at her but it was hard because my head felt heavy.

Seeing this she told me to just stay in a comfortable way and there was no need to look at her as long as I could hear her there was no problem.

"The thing had white scales, golden eyes that glowed even in the day. It was long and had long white hair at it's back. It was majestic and had a great aura. If not for it's scary aura it was such a beautiful being" she described it while she smiled.

"Please feature stop beating around the bush get straight to the point" Vince said hastily.

"Vince I am getting there" she turned to look at me. " Like I said if not because of it's scary aura. I would have ran to it to feel it's powerful scales" she continued.

I think I saw something with that description before.

"It could fly" Ben added and I looked at him because I did not notice he was here till now.

"Exactly it could fly. I swear I have never seen a beautiful animal like it. It is something that I have only seen in movies and cartoons. I never thought I would see one in real life" she said softly.

"Feature please stop that. You are saying rubbish. Let me tell her" kelvin said.

"Wait"

"The thing that chased us was a dragon" kelvin said.

What a dragon I thought. Now I recoverd my memory back. I was also thinking the same thing kelvin was thinking.

"But how did the dragon chain us up. I don't think dragons are wise enough to know how to handle a chain" Ben said.

"Dragons are mythical creatures. So I am not surprised it can handle a chain and know what it is used for" Feature giggled.

"Please Feature stop. We don't want to hear it please let me finish" kelvin said.

"Dragons can only breath fire and kill. They know nothing about chains and looking at this chains you can see that it would be too tiny for the creature to use it" kelvin explained.

"Maybe it is not alone. Maybe it has owners" Ben added.

"Aren't you guys forgetting something. The tour guide told us something about the river dragon. Aren't you thinking it might be it" feature said.

"You are right. Feature for the first time you are being reasonable for once" Ben commented.

"What do you mean" she asked looking at Ben. But he ignored her.

"Where the hell is that son of a bitch that brought us here" Ven cursed. Someone that did not speak till now.

"Be careful with your words" Vince said.

"I don't know. Maybe eaten or something" kelvin said.

"Do you think the dragon kept us here so he can fatten us" Ven asked.

"Fatten us. You how can you fatten when it hasn't even given us water. Let it give us water first before you think of food" Vince said.

" I think the beast kept us alive for a reason" I reasoned.

"Yeah you are right. Angel staying with me has made you smart" Vince replied looking at me with admiration.

I rolled my eyes. I did not have the energy to speak to him. But why would that beast keep us here if not it then who could it be.
