Training and Mysteries (I)

As the sun went up, Ryu started walking towards the house. As he came near his home, he saw an old-looking man sitting across the door.

The man had a wrinkled face and was a little bent, showing his age had some effects on him. With his old blue shirt that seemed tattered by time like he was, he relaxed in his rocking chair.

If one sees the man, they would think that he is on his deathbed, but there was something that rebukes this thinking and that was his axe.

A big axe with a length of 1.5 meters and standing to the right of the man while his hand is holding the wood of the axe.

The head of the axe was massive with a color of dark brown, while having a tinge of red and tan.

"Good morning grandpa!!" Ryu called out.

"Good morning Ryu," Roland spoke and started walking towards Ryu.

"You told me you want to learn a martial art. Are you still firm on that?" He asked with a stern look on his face.

The loving and caring grandpa Roland was nowhere to be seen.

"Yes, grandpa!! I still want to learn the martial art!!"

Ryu said, looking firmly while looking directly into the eyes of Roland.

Roland saw this and sighed inwardly.

'So the day has come that he can stand and speak his mind decisively.'

It was not that he did not want to teach Ryu Martial art, but this was soon. He wanted Ryu to get older and then teach him.

Roland spoke while walking towards the forest. Ryu quickly started walking behind Roland.

After a few minutes of walking, they came to an area where a little area was devoid of trees. This was not normal, as to find a spot like this is very rare.

Roland stopped and turned towards Ryu.

"From today you will practice here"

Hearing this, Ryu stopped and looked around. He saw trees at some distance circling the center where he was currently standing.

All the trees were tall, reaching the sky, while some bushes were making it hard to see outside. It was like a place hidden from the outside.

"Grandpa, where are we?" Ryu was a little perplexed.

"This is the place I created for you father to practice!" Roland answered and went near a tree.

The tree was a little different from the other trees, its trunk was larger than the other trees.

suddenly Roland started climbing the tree.

"Supp.., Supp,"

Ryu looked at this a little astonished, as the speed at which Roland went up was not normal. After going up, Roland vanished into the tree for a moment, and then Ryu saw something coming down.

"Dhoom.."

A large box-shaped something dropped from the tree and made a deafening sound in the surrounding. Small birds which were in trees started flying away after hearing the sound.

As this was happening, Roland came down from the tree.

This was a chest. It was made from wood but was different from regular wood. It was bluish and had a golden coating on the edges.

At first, Ryu was a little surprised, but now he was looking at the box curiously. Roland went near the box and took out a pendant.

The pendant was a hexagonal shape pendant made of Emerald, and there was a dragon head made on it.

Roland connected the pendant with the hexagonal shape on the box and suddenly, all the golden coating lit up.

It was like a pattern and then the pendant moved and a dragon body was formed on the wooden chest and after turning half round,

The pendant stopped and made a complete dragon was formed, who was soaring upwards in the sky. One name was written on the body of the dragon 'TATSUYA'.

Ryu walked near the chest, which was glowing a little. As seeing Ryu came near him, Roland quickly opened the box and put a hand inside, and took some small box.

Ryu was at the back, so he could not see what Roland did. He only sees him bending a little.

As Ryu came near Roland and looked at the chest with curiosity.

This was the first time Ryu has seen something that was not regular. He was very confused as to why their family had this type of luxurious chest and why did they hide it.

"Grandpa!! what is in this chest?"

He asked Roland while looking at the chest. Although he was looking inside the chest to see what was inside, there was only darkness.

"This is a Memory chest," Roland spoke while turning around.

"Memory chest??"

"Yes, a memory chest!! This is a type of treasure that is like a spatial ring."

"Like those legendary spatial rings!!??"

Ryu spoke astonished, staring at the chest with fully opened eyes. It was like his eyes would get out anytime.

This was actually not called memory chest but spatial chest. Usually it is used by small sects or families to keep their valuables. The chest is made in a way that it can be assessed by specific people only.

"Yes, just like those expensive rings, but this one is a little cheap"

"Cheap!! how cheap?" he asked as he was getting more curious.

"That is not important Right now!"

He turned towards Ryu and pulled a knife from somewhere. He held Ryu's hand and Cut a finger.

" Ouuu. Ouch!! grandpa??" Ryu looked at Roland, a little perplexed.

"Do you see anything in the chest?" Roland asked with a calm expression.

"N... NO!!" Ryu answered amidst the pain.

"That's because it does not know who you are!"

"What do you mean it does not know who I am?" Ryu was getting more and more confused.

He thought 'What does mean that it does not know who I am? is grandpa getting senile of old age?'

Before he could speak anymore, Roland Took his hand and placed it above the pendant and

"Drip.." A drop of blood was on the pendant.

A golden light flashed, but this time, it was the pendant that glowed. Ryu was very puzzled, but wanted to know what was happening.

Then suddenly, the darkness inside the chest vanished.

"WHAT???"
