The New World and Its Mysteries(part 1)

It has been three years since Ryu has been born in this world. Well, what happened in these three years is that in the first 6 months he started crawling, and 10 the month after the birth he could walk.

The trio was shocked and happy seeing the child's growth, when Ryu was 2 years old he could speak fluently. The parents of the child thought that he is a Genius.

Ryu also found many interesting things about the world. First of all, this is not Earth, but a world called Acacia and he is on the Lesser plane of this world.

There are 5 continents on the lesser plane and the one he was on is the western continent. This continent is vast enough that even this continent might be bigger than the Earth itself, not considering the whole lesser plane.

one of the shocking things about the western continent is that it is the smallest continent only consisting of 2 kingdoms and 2 immortal sects (will be explained further).

The two kingdoms are the Kingdom of Barun and the Kingdom of Alheim, and the two sects are the Flower petal sect and Sun palace sect.

There was one more thing that he found out and that their family business was wood cutting and providing it to the inns which are east end of the kingdom of Barun.

When he found out, he was not worried because the business is small but because of the age of the grandfather was showing symptoms of old age.

His grandfather was age 98. Due to being in the body strengthening realm, he could live past the age of 100, but how much that was not known?

Knowing the family condition Ryu wanted to help, even if he looks like a child, he knows how to work hard since he was pretty mature for his age.

When he asked his mother when can he could join his father for work, his mother was very shocked at first, but then she said, "you are too small to help. Maybe 10 years later you can start helping when you awaken".

He was sad at first, but then after his mother said,

"There are the beasts in the wild, although the part we live in doesn't have any beasts above the Body awakening realm for you, it's still too early"

Hearing this, he thought for a while and came to the conclusion to gather more information about this "CULTIVATION" thing that his parents are talking about.

After this, whenever he had time, he would try to help his mother with food making or cleaning the house.

As he could not go out and play with other children because he was not in a town but in a forest east of the kingdom of Barun.

when he became 4 years old, he asked his father that to take him to the delivery of woods to the inns for which his father said "NO" in the beginning but after his repeated nagging for a whole month, he said fine.

When the first time he went to town for delivery, He was shocked to see that all the buildings were made of wood like their house but the quality of the house was on a whole another level. Some inns had more than 2 floors with different designs like birds or animals which he had never seen before.

There was one more thing he noticed in the town, which was a whole 7 stories building in the middle of town with a dragon statue on the top of the building.

when he asked his father which inn it was, he said it was not an inn but an association of cultivators (it's what you think it is).

After joining John on their delivery mission of his to know more about the world, he found that there are various types of work people do and he also wanted to help in getting his family in a better condition.

So he asked the friend of his father who works in an inn as a chef for work, which the man refused, saying

"you are too small for working here"

when he asked his father for giving recommendation, his father also refused to say "you are just a child you should play not work".

As to not understanding what to do, he went to meet his grandpa who was in his bedroom meditating.

when he entered the room he saw an old-looking man showing signs of wrinkles and old age. This was Roland who was who just crossed his 100th birthday a month ago.

Ryu said " Grandpa are you practicing"

the reply came quickly,

"What happened my boy," Roland said opening his eyes and looking at Ryu.

Ryu answered "I asked the father for letting me work in the inn of Uncle Lin but he refused"

Roland said "and why do you want to work there"

Ryu replies "because Grandpa is getting old and it's youngsters' job to work and let the elderly rest"

Roland who was surprised by Ryu's answer as he felt a little pride he smiled and replied

"Elders should indeed rest but you are not the youngster but a child and I am still fit to do work which even your father can't do, see I am in the Body strengthening realm as your father is still in the Awakening Realm "

Hearing this Ryu became sad that even his grandpa was not on his side.

seeing the child sad Roland added " well once you awaken then there might not be many issues as you can at least handle yourself" knowing this Ryu became a little happy.

Ryu then asked "grandpa when is the awakening ceremony "

Roland answered "well it's usually done when someone becomes 11 years older but some geniuses try to awaken at the age of 8 or 9 "

After knowing this Ryu went into the thought for a while which Roland did not disturb.

Knowing his grandchild who is more mature than others he knew what will be the next demand of the child and without letting Ryu ask the question

"grand.."

Roland continued "no we cannot do the awakening ceremony now, you are still too short for this. well how about we do it on your 9th birthday, ha"

Ryu said "grandpa you said sometimes they do at 8 years too"

Roland replied " that is true but awakening requires sufficient body growth, so no we will do it when you are 9 years old at least"

After losing a battle with grandpa he became sadder which was also seen by Roland so he added

"until you become old enough how about you start reading about cultivation and other stuff, I will bring some cultivation books from the town for you"

Hearing this Ryu became happy again and said "ok grandpa, love you"
