The Horror (II)

"Ahhhhhh"

Ryu screamed as he saw John's who got in the middle of the Lentor and him, who had been injured.

The fangs slashed his Left arm.

"Uhhh, Ryu Get up!! don't daze away now," In, amidst pain John exclaimed.

He was panting. Blood was gushing out of his arm, As it lay limp there. John tried to save Ryu.

The reason he was still conscious of his surrounding while the Injury was that he was also an experienced cultivator, Albeit not as Roland...

As Ryu heard this He came out of the daze and saw John's arm. As he saw it, his stomach ached. He had never seen blood like this.

Ryu wanted to move, but his legs were not moving. '

'Why? Why my legs are not moving? Move? Move, please !!?...'

It perplexed Ryu, as his legs were not listening to what his mind was saying.

Roland understood what was happening. He attacked the Lentor to get its attention.

Roland slashed at the Lentor, but Lentor evaded that, as its focus was always Roland.

Lentor knew that these two petty humans cannot harm it. A human who is in the body- strengthening realm was the only threat or someone stronger.

It was faster than humans, as it was an agility-based beast. And this was the reason Roland was worried, as Lentor could run away from him if there was only him fighting it.

At first, there was John wounded, on one side of Roland, but now it would be hard to get any help from John.

Ryu was seeing this Roland was slashing at the beast, but the beast could evade the attacks with minor injuries. On the other side, he was getting injured.

'I can not be a coward. I will have to fight if I have to help my family.'

"Yes, I will fight it, " Ryu Yelled out, which startled the ongoing battle between the two.

Ryu mustered the strength and, after much effort, he stood up with the help of his axe as a stick. Although he stood up, he was not in any condition to help Roland.

"Ryu, stand at my rear, and when you get a chance, just swing the axe as you swing on the tree," Roland called out as he saw Ryu standing up.

"Ok"

Roland was now fighting the Lentor and Ryu was behind him with John.

Ryu's eyes trailed at the bleeding arm of John.

"you don't have to worry about my arm. This is not the first injury I had in my life," John spoke without looking at Ryu.

Ryu looked at John. It seemed like a tall wall as he just stood there.

'One day I will be strong enough that no one will get hurt because of me,' Ryu thought and then looked at Roland.

Roland was an earth Earth Elementalist and was very adept at fighting. So he could make sure that Ryu and John will not face the full brunt of the beast.

The earth's element enhances the person's defense, and Roland was using this to make sure that the beast does not attack his son or grandchild.

The Lentor saw that the humans will attack together and got angry as its plan to reduce the numbers failed.

"Roorrr.."

It roared as it got angry and attacked Roland with its full power.

The Lentor, contrary to its appearance, was a water-elemental beast who lived in a water-element-rich area.

This made it a very flexible beast. I would bend its body in a way to avoid attacks that are very hard.

Roland still inflicted some damage to it, and in the meantime, John also packed some axe attacks on the Lentor.

While this was happening, Ryu was only watching it, since his legs still couldn't move.

This did not hinder Roland, as he knew Ryu had never fought, so his standing now is paramount to the things he could do.

As time went by Roland and John became more and more stressed. They knew what was happening.

The beast had taken this as a battle for the hunter. In this battle, the Lentor knew it might lose but still refuse to back down.

As Roland slashed at the Lentor's leg, it jumped up from the spot to the right and at this moment, John slashed the axe on its back.

"Rrrrrr..."

The beast yelled as it suffered an injury and backed away some distance from the three.

"It's shallow. I couldn't put all my strength into that attack." John said.

"It's okay, I will try for that again and see if you can attack that same spot,"

Roland replied and started running around the side of Lentor to make its back face John.

As the beast saw this roared in anger to see that these puny humans still have the courage to fight it.

Just as Roland was about to attack, the beast did the unexpected. It ran straight towards John.

"John, watch out!!! "

Roland yelled as he saw the beast's intention of ramming itself on John.

As John saw this, he slashed at the head of the beast. He wanted to move but couldn't, as Ryu was standing some distance behind him.

So if he moves, the beast will ram itself on Ryu.

As the axe collided with the head of the Lentor, a small roar came out of its mouth. But the beast did not stop and rammed itself into John.

It wanted to remove this insect from the battle and didn't care for this small attack of the insect.

It knew the human was not at full strength because of the injured arm.

"Bammmm"

The Lentor ran through and flung John's body as a mere doll. As John clashed with Lentor, his axe slipped from his hand, his vision blurred, and he flung 10 meters back.

"Father!!!" Ryu shouted

as everything happened so fast he only saw the beast turning and ramming into John, as John flung due to impact was not moving.

Ryu got near John and tried to wake him up.

"Father!! Father!! wake up!!, please!!!"

John was unmoving. The beast glanced at John, who was breathing very slowly and not opening his eyes.

The Lentor turned its face towards Roland, who was in a trance due to the Sudden situation.

"Bastard!!! How could you do that to my son!!!"
